This!
It would be another switch in how we want to play!
Another group of players that cant play that way!
Another group of players stuck at the club waiting to get rid of while we try a new style
We absolutely have to change the way we play though. The 'style' under Ancelotti was absolutely pathetic, whether he stayed or not, we needed to play a different way. This gives us an opportunity for a reset. We need to pick a style, formation, etc that we intend to play, and run with it from this point on. There's absolutely no point in trying to pick a manager who will play the style Ancelotti favoured because we will get nowhere playing like that.

I honestly can't get my head around the fact that people could actually watch Brighton going away to big clubs with 9ft 7 Dan Burn playing full back next to 8ft 6 Lewis Dunk and play good football, and conclude that nobody could possibly get a team made up of people who'll spend the summer playing for England, France, Brazil etc to be able to string two passes together. Ancelotti has well and truly scammed a few people here, you have to give it to him.

Ten Haag is a name I quite like, watched Ajax a few times last season and would love to see that style of football played at Everton

You know what, as our last 5 full-time managers since Moyes have all been relatively short-term who have come to the club with a mixture of experiences, styles and philosophies, of which none of have given us any real success, I’m actually starting to think “sod it, let Duncan have a go for a couple of years and see what he can do.”

Yes, it may end up a spectacular failure, but I’m at the point now I just really don’t care, literally everything else has proven not to work at this basket-case of a club, maybe we need someone like him to grab the players by the balls and tell them what’s what. I know he’s been involved in the background throughout during all the previous managers, but maybe, just maybe, him being the main man will start a much needed shift in attitude.

Let Brands fully take over the overall technical and business side of things, and let Ferguson do his thing on the training ground and for 90 minutes a week on the side-lines.

Disclaimer: If this happens and we get relegated, please don’t vault me

Would be brilliant. Can spot a player and plays the football we like, high energy, high tempo, pressing and attacking

Get him in and sell every player and sign 25 new players to fill the squad because there is not a hope of getting high energy, high tempo, pressing and attacking out of the current lot.

Any of our European football watching posters take Galtier from Lille? Won them the league and is leaving. 3 offers on the table from likes of Nice and Napoli
