Ralf Rangnick??

Ripes!..

You’d have to hope Brands and Carlo at least sat down to draw out a plan for the summer and Brands will at least have got the ball rolling and will run it through, more so when it comes to the exodus.....

My major concern is a new manager comes in and decides he wants to keep everyone and run the rule over them for another season at least which makes me want to hurt myself.

I do think there is an element of snobbery amongst our fans when it comes to young British coaches. Potter has done well, who is too say with more money he would do better. we've just had a serial winner in charge and he pretty much was as meh as it can get but he had pulling power. A younger coach might go for younger hungrier players.

In short, I have no idea where we go from here, kicked right in the nads.
I think that small mid table premiership clubs can afford to give young managers with potential a chance... we did it with RM and MS and it didn't work.

Moshiri seems to think bigger than that and wants to appoint a manager with a successful track record as all the big clubs do....and he is prepared to back them as we have seen.

I think we have moved from the young manager model.

We absolutely have to change the way we play though. The 'style' under Ancelotti was absolutely pathetic, whether he stayed or not, we needed to play a different way. This gives us an opportunity for a reset. We need to pick a style, formation, etc that we intend to play, and run with it from this point on. There's absolutely no point in trying to pick a manager who will play the style Ancelotti favoured because we will get nowhere playing like that.

I honestly can't get my head around the fact that people could actually watch Brighton going away to big clubs with 9ft 7 Dan Burn playing full back next to 8ft 6 Lewis Dunk and play good football, and conclude that nobody could possibly get a team made up of people who'll spend the summer playing for England, France, Brazil etc to be able to string two passes together. Ancelotti has well and truly scammed a few people here, you have to give it to him.
100% agree with all this. The manager gets the players to play and Carlo failed at that

After my Rafael post, I’d also give Martinez another go with a pot of money. They’d be my two, although the German bloke being quoted is interested but I don’t know anything about him
