The idea of Levy trying to work with Benitez lol
"Transfer budget negotiations were strained between new Tottenham manager Rafael Benitez and his boss Daniel Levy today..."

So we saying brining in Koeman and Walsh after Martinez and backing them was clueless at the time? £300mill for that.

Yeah, he hired Walsh as director of football despite him having never done the job, he was chief scout at Leicester, he was basically learning on the job at Everton and we gave him £300m to piss up the wall.

If he isn't clueless he's certainly very naive at the very least. The thinking was "oh he was great for Leicester he'll be good for us", "oh he was great for Southampton he'll be good for us", no actual coherent strategy to progress us.

I just think you (and many others) are overreacting to this. It's one bored scruff painting a bedsheet. It is not a reflection on our club, on you or on anyone else.

Oh but it is, don't you see, pinned to our ground, it very much sends a message, to Benitez, to the club but also to the rest of the world. That we don't want him here and that we cannot send that message withou descending. Just ask yourself this, what do you think Harry Catterick would have made of it. We go on about our history, think twice before trashing our values.

Posted this earlier in the wrong thread, but we should announce the "Masked Manager". Nobody knows who it is so no aggro, provokes intrigue, and when we win the league they can have a triumphant reveal .Another Everton first.
"TAKE HIM OFF, TAKE HIM OFF, TAKE HIM OFF!!"
"WHO?"
"TAKE HIM OFF, TAKE HIM OFF, TAKE HIM OFF!!"

It just wouldn't work I think.
