….what goes around comes around.

Benitez must really regret making those ‘small club’ jibes now and taking us all for fools saying he meant to say ‘small team’. I imagine this would be the perfect job for him at this stage in his life & I actually think he’d have been a good fit but the club has to maintain some self-respect.

They are doing the right thing, there are others out there.
It’s an interesting one. Yes he was an RS manager, but if he had not made the small club comment, would Everton fans have been more favourable towards him? For me, once you go to China, you’re saying “my careers over, I’ll just have one last payday”

…I can’t speak for others, but I’d have definitely been more favourable to him if he’d not made those remarks. Indeed, I wouldn’t have minded him too much, certainly a ‘safe option’.

Those remarks, though, are a complete ‘no, no’ for me, can’t entertain him after those. Self-respect.

Rafael looking very likely, people speculating Brands is being overruled are wide of the mark, only Kenwright has put up much opposition to it

Why are people saying Martinez? He was given 3 seasons here and he failed miserably, no other manager since has been allowed to fail for as long as the utter fraud was.

I mean his claim to fame currently is that KDB and Lukaku play for Belgium.
He gave us one of the most enjoyable seasons I’ve had watching us in the first year.

Even in that last season, with 90% of the crowd against him for long periods he managed an 11th placed finish and 2 semi finals both of which we were genuinely unlucky to lose.

Right now, that doesn’t seem to bad in comparison to the rubbish Ancelotti just served up for 18 months.

Manuel Pellegrini a good example of that. Was a very good manager in his day but went to China after Man City then came back to West Ham and flopped massively.
