And you know WHEN it goes bad they'll paint it as "Everton are a poisoned chalice, if even BENITEZ can't do anything there who can??" even tho he's literally the worst possible choice.

Of course, it suits the narrative but we, as a club and as a fanbase, should ignore all of that stuff.
The argument that some posters have raised that Benitez would come in and unsentimentally purge the club of bad influences is a fair point and the only argument I can see any merit in, there is something wrong with the mentality at the club but Brands, Ryazantsev or even Moshiri should be sorting that out. We shouldn't need an unsentimental coach, the whole club should be run unsentimentally. If we want to give jobs to the old guard they need to be awarded on merit, if not they can work for EITC or as club ambassadors. We shouldn't need some fat has-been who happens to live nearby to complete a straightforward HR task.

Why are people saying Martinez? He was given 3 seasons here and he failed miserably, no other manager since has been allowed to fail for as long as the utter fraud was.
