"Steady pair of hands" who will provoke civil war at the club. He is anything but

Steady pair of hands perhaps the wrong wording, but a known commodity, a run of the mill idiot, if you will

Essentially, after all the turnover in the last 5 years, he wants someone to right the ship, keep it meh until he gets the stadium done. Then he can sell for a profit

What has happened to Eddie Howe? A couple of years ago, was talked about as future England Boss. Took Bournemouth from minus 17 points with no money, in league 1 to the Premier. Including Championship winners. Then I think did pretty well with a tiny club, to stay there for a few seasons. Lets be honest Bournemouth were never going stay up forever. I know they went down but you can say he has gained experience from that as well.
Now he seems unemployable. Not saying he is right for us, but you'd think Championship and even maybe bottom half Premier league clubs would be wanting him.

He turned Celtic down. Comes across as a massive fanny bottle job.

If (admittedly dodgy, red echo etc!), reports over the weekend “reporting” that it is Usmanov pushing for the Benitez appointment are in any way believable, do we think it’s likely that Usmanov is someone who would cave in to fan protests?

Following on from that - if Usmanov turned round in a fit of pique and said no more sponsorship/ money from USM or any of his companies unless Benitez is appointed where does that leave us, and would it change opinions on the Benitez stuff?
