I honestly don't know who I want to get the job.

Part of me wants a top level manager - a Conte or Pochettino...

But then the other part of me thinks a young manager on an upward trajectory (a Potter or similar - not saying specifically him) is a better shout. Someone who is going to see us as a huge opportunity, and be hungry to make it work.

Obviously the benefits of getting a Conte are clear - he's a top level boss, and would command respect... but then will we just end up in exactly the same situation in 12 months, when he jumps ship to the first CL club that flashes a bit of ankle? And we've got enough players who think we're beneath them, do we really want that in a manager too?

Honestly no idea.

Mate he had 11 years and never won a sausage
Regarding the recruitment he wont have a say in it thats Brands job.
A huge no from me.
He had the budget for netto 90% gristle, 10% fat bangers, and yet he fashioned a team of tasty Richmonds, finishing a finger licking 4th one season. Quite how you're expecting him to magic up
That's key in the job description, or should be.. although I am completely against bringing him back for the way he left, putting off signing a contract only to act surprised when United came calling then we had Ferguson saying in his book that Moyes was approached months earlier. It's a petty reason for not wanting him back I know.
I get the sentiment but carlo reminds us that there ain't much loyalty in footie and in that context 11 years or whatever from moyes is pretty comendable

New favorite for me is Gallardo. He appears to be available due to his contract situation and stage of his career. He’s young and been praised as one of the best coaches in the world outside of the big leagues. I say let’s take a big swing like that. He could be the perfect blend of capturing the next great coach while also getting someone who is loyal - nobody stays at River Plate that long. He presumably has turned down opportunities, which would explain why he hasn’t moved to Europe yet.

The problem with getting a Conte, he may be gone in 12 months...

Some of the things he’s done...

Took a bog standard Schalke to a Champions League semi final.
Brought Leipzig and Hoffenheim through lower leagues and made them ready to succeed.

Then
Let’s not forget made significant profits (see picture).

Infact, copied it in.

Ralf Rangnick's best signings as RB Leipzig sporting director:
Mukiele 16M€
Werner 14M€
Nkunku 13M€
Forsberg 3.7M€
Halstenberg 3.5€
Sabitzer 2M€
Orban 2M€
Upamecano 10M€
Poulsen 1.5M€
Klostermann 1M€
Kimmich 500K€
Keita 1.5M€
Demme 350K€
Konate Free
Genius.
.
.
And let's not forget Rangnick's finds for Salzburg such as Sadio Mané, Naby Keïta, Erling Haaland, Dominik Szoboszlai, Amadou Haidara...
I’m in

We will get Potter in and have a few good months and maybe qualify for the Europa league.

Then you will all turn on him.

Want an experienced manager who has won trophies.

He will do well for a while.

Then you will all turn on him.

Rinse and repeat.
