For everyone....please stop with all the name calling and generally being arsy.

It gets us off topic and makes me feel like y'alls mom when I have to tell you to behave.

Hard enough being a blue right now without attacking each other.

I agree. Why can’t we all just take the night off to come together and LOL at Scotland.

If, as everyone seems convinced, Moshiri wants Benitez and Benitez wants the job, I don't understand the delay. I don't want him, but, if it's going to happen, let's just rip the plaster off and get on with preparations for the coming season. Anyone know what the hold up is?

All assumptions though really.

I just don't think he'd want the job based purely on money and convenience, especially considering where he's come from and the hostility he would get if things went sour.

If it were a Jose for example, I'd purely put that down to money or some other reason than purely management.

I do think Rafael's interest is purely management base cos I think he's got enough money since the China stint.

Are you assuming Jose hasn't got enough money?

You may be right. He might consider us the best chance to rebuild his credibility as a top manager. Considering he's not getting any offers from bigger clubs than Everton and he would definitely have more cash to spend than any other job he's likely to get.

Some have suggested Moshiri simply wants a 'safe' pair of hands to stabilise the club till we get into the new stadium (more assumptions). If that's his only remit, it's a peachy little number.

And yes, I'm assuming he will be on a higher salary than the likes of Nuno, Potter or Galtier could demand.

However, all of this is secondary as I don't care that much about his motives. I'm more concerned about the motives of our board in considering him. I'm not a fan of the man or the manager. I don't think he'll have us any higher up the table and certainly don't think we'll be entertaining.

I'd honestly rather we took a risk on someone like Potter.

Could be stalling incase something better comes available, both sides

Got a warning for language, only said sh#! It's about time this forum got a grip. Is this an under 12 forum? Moderators shake your head and get in the real world. Should be fortunate at the restraint being shown on here given what we are putting up with. Dear lord
Oh dear …. Goin’ down
There’s a reason this is the best footballing fan site on the planet .. it’s really well moderated and maintains a rational and acceptable set of standards …. Lower those standards and you lose the quality
I’ve been slapped down and banned several times in my years here I accepted my punishments… it’s all part of growing up …. Or did you not do that yet ?
