I understand how emotionally invested people are in the club, i truly do. But this is becoming very, very dark. So many people on here rant about Everton has to stop being so sentimental, well appointing FSW, would surely be the ultimate expression on anti-sentiment? I don’t want him, but if we do get him I will continue to go the match every week and will dislike him every week. I will not abandon my club, I'll not turn on my fellow blues, damage anything belonging to the club or any person connected with it.

if you want to take to the streets over something, get you pitchforks out against Boris and the the most corrupt government we have ever seen and get your priorities right for heavens sake.

Because the premier league is the best league in the world and he will be paid a shedload more money than he’d get anywhere else and be able to build a team like he’s done in his last two jobs only on a grander scale on the world stage. Sneer at our current squad all you want but this is a massive job in world football.
Delusional! Haha.

….not much happening here.

Are you assuming Jose hasn't got enough money?

You may be right. He might consider us the best chance to rebuild his credibility as a top manager. Considering he's not getting any offers from bigger clubs than Everton and he would definitely have more cash to spend than any other job he's likely to get.

Some have suggested Moshiri simply wants a 'safe' pair of hands to stabilise the club till we get into the new stadium (more assumptions). If that's his only remit, it's a peachy little number.

And yes, I'm assuming he will be on a higher salary than the likes of Nuno, Potter or Galtier could demand.

However, all of this is secondary as I don't care that much about his motives. I'm more concerned about the motives of our board in considering him. I'm not a fan of the man or the manager. I don't think he'll have us any higher up the table and certainly don't think we'll be entertaining.

I'd honestly rather we took a risk on someone like Potter.
He took the Roma job about a month ago

Starting to get a bit ridiculous now.

With this in mind, why not go for Andy Gray. He could bring his sidekick with him.

Ok mate. Seems to be a lot more delusional people on here agreeing with me than defeatists like you who think we should be happy with Benitez as he’s the best available option.
The premier league is the best league in the world - facht
We are ever present and haven’t really been in a relegation battle for two decades - facht
We are rich and spend more money than everyone outside of probably the top 4 - facht
We managed to recruit Ancelotti as our last manager - facht
We have one of the most famous footballers in the world in our team and an ever growing global fan base - facht

… but yeah, I’m sure the guy from Lille would rather manage Nice who most people can’t name a single player from

Come off it, he's trying his best.

Only messing. What a disaster that fella is.

You're of course correct. Grown men and women losing their minds over who is going to be in charge a giving instructions to a bunch of millionaires who (on the whole) have no historical afinity with the place.

Their are far more important things to be enraged about.
