Yep, ill be honest this appointment was that mental that was 100% my feeling on it too "no way would they do this its gotta make the Nuno appointment easier to swallow", but it seems real.

Genuinely don't know how they have got it this wrong, apparently he's had unto 7 meetings/calls with the directors. If they had any ounce of balls they would just announce it, unless they are waiting for an answer form somewhere else, but any hope they are getting this right has well and truly drained from me.

Greg O'Keeffe has now said that its "ever certain the new man will be Benitez" and could be appointed by the end of the week.

There is something in it, but I don't know if The Athletic are close to the club.

On this occasion though, I think both them and the red Echo will be given enough snippets to assist with the PR campaign.

All one can do is hope it doesn't happen.

Feeling very alienated from the club at this stage. They must know that large parts of the fan base are venomously against this.

As the rumor goes, it hasnt been announced just yet as Brands/Benitez are in isolation after meeting Usmanov/Moshiri outside of the country, and obviously they’ll have to do media at Finch Farm
