This percentage you quote based on what ?The people who moan on this site or the 30 odd thousand fans who go to the match?
just general observation, there's nothing scientific about it.
Made up of some match going blues, a lot of family and friends in England/Ireland/America, twitter polls and message boards like this.
It's just an opinion but I think Benitez needs to do very well just to get support to 50/50 and that seems like a bad business decision to me.

So not representative of the general Everton support that goes to the match

Tbf so were Carlo's but that didnt stop people drooling over the bloke.

I think if the board invest £100 million wisely this summer and the team is much more effective next season and Benitez keeps us compact at the back but hopefully more fluid and quicker on the counter attack fans will soon come around.

Remember you pay your hard earned dough to watch the 11 blokes on the pitch not the fella sat in the dugout.

WHATS OUR NAME???
Moshiris masochists FC?

I’d say the majority will be apathetic. There will deffo be a sizeable minority who are after his blood from day one.

That’s an insult
Never have or never will vote Tory in my lifetime
My father would haunt me if I did!!
And yes I did clap the NHS workers and the other people that put their lives in danger like supermarket workers ETC

It was a bit of an OTT response from me and I do apologise.

Bit OTT if you ask me, there are lots of view points at play and everyone is stressed as it is without calling them tories.
You are right, I have apologised

Some deeply suspicious pro-Rafael anti-booing activity in here today. We are investigating.

Top 5 for today who I'd accept over Benitez:

1) Frank Lampard Snr
2) Brett Favre
3) Noonoo from Teletubbies
4) General Galtieri
5) No Wayneo Howe
6) Slippy G
7) basically anyone

Top 5 worst managerial appointments possible in the all time history of Everton FC including BFS for gods sake:

1) Benitez
2) Rafael
3) Blue Ben
4) the former Newcastle and Dalien FC manager
5) Benitez

In hindsight I think the Ancelotti hire hasn't helped us when it comes to this hire. Expectations are through the roof and potentially decent (I'm not talking about Rafael) candidates are being viewed as not good enough.

At the time we appointed Silva he had something like 80-90% approval among blues. Yet Nuno, who is twice the manager Silva is/was struggled to get 50%. Presumably because he felt like a massive come down from Ancelotti.

I also think people need to get past this obsession with us playing like Brazil. Some of the best and most successful teams are built on sturdy defence. In fact - a team of our size and stature us much more likely to get success by going down that route. Look at Atletico. Look at Leicester when they won the league. They didn't play the best footy in the league, but they were incredibly solid, knew what they did well, and executed it to perfection.

Having a manager - be it Carlo, Nuno, Rafael or someone else - who gets us established with a solid base and then pushes us on with better players as we get higher up the table, is likely the way to go. It may not be pretty, immediately, but it's our most likely route to success imho.
