He seems to be adaptive. He has ways of playing with possession or without depending on team he gets and who he is against

If we dont play with wide forwards then Richarlison will be a square peg in a round hole as he aint a CF - last season proved that.

No he will look at the best players we have (which won't take long!), decide which system works best with them in it and then recruit to fill the gaps.

Yes I read it, did you read my post before you responded? I said I know it's not easy, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't expect people to do it when it is quite literally their job. It's exactly the same as with players really, these managers are out there, you just have to be able to identify them. It should be the whole point of having a DoF, but for some reason our DoF doesn't appear to have any influence on footballing matters, and is just there as some sort of glorified negotiator. The post you were replying to most certainly did mention Benitez by the way, so not sure where you've got that from.

Rafael was mentioned as not being someone who doesn't builds sides but it wasn't a debate on whether he was the right manager for us and more about what the ideal would be.

Of course there are those out there. But we ain't Derby or Norwich or Brighton where we'll bag some unknown up and coming German coach and let them have a go. There's a level of gambling we aren't going to go with especially when the amount of money they're going to pump in. Then there's how the players will react to employment of say a Hertha Berlin's ex manager for example who's meant to be really really good. We've also been there with Silva.

Moshiri has always been about creating 'drama' its a indirect form of marketing I'm sure

We wouldn't still have this playing squad and we wouldn't be appointing a manager miles past his peak if we were serious about competing.

They talk about being competitive but their decisions don't match that up.

Don't disagree with the point being made at all, and yes, I've pumped thousands upon thousands into Everton over my life but the idea of scrawling over Goodison's walls just doesn't sit right with me, like, at all.

If lads want to scrawl "Fu** Rafael" all over their Ma's bloomers and hang them on the Park End fence then fine, whatever. Spraying the walls just doesn't sit right though for me and many others.
