What's incredibly obvious? How do you know not a single journalist has been briefed by the club that Benitez is a candidate for the job? Because you work in PR?

Jesus mate. I don’t know that nobody has been briefed, but it seems fairly obvious to me as somebody who has seen how Everton press briefings generally go down and who definitely knows how it works when you ask the press to release info. This has none of the hallmarks of that. I would put serious money on this not having come from the club, it just doesnt have that feel to it at all.

The fanbase need to get over it now. I can accept the anger if we were turning down the likes of Conte in favour of the bloke but there literally doesn't look like there is anyone half decent available.

Well communications rather than PR, but 2 sides of the same coin! No and no. Seriously the clubs communications are awful, they handle things absolutely dreadfully. I know an ex director of comms at Everton who thinks the club is absolutely wonderful and won’t hear a bad word said about them- except when it comes to comms.
