Unless FSW radically changes the style of football he coaches I can’t see him lasting longer than 12 months at best.
Ironically if he coached a similar style to Klopp I think he’d have had a far better chance of survival.
Goodison won’t endure negative football for too long and even his RS fans admit his football was boring.
What a stupidly myopic appointment this will represent.

Be interesting to see the atmosphere at Goodison - after 12 months away I think most will just be happy to be back tbh.

I dont like Benitez but some of our fans have gone way OTT when the only other names around were Nuno/Potter/Moyes/Howe.
But they weren't were they? There are others out there. Those names show the level of thinking both in the club and among supporters.
With Brands/DOF we were supposed to be creating an identity and style that a change of manager wouldn't affect, but that isn't the way we're working. We're still going short term.
I believe supporters 'expectations' have been managed, CA was the surprise, but the appointments have always quelled ambitions. This Benitez thing takes them away due to the split it creates which will permeate throughout the club.
Creating the opportunity for a shedload of 'I told you so's' isn't ambitious, it's neglect ( or for a motive yet considered, BMD being the elephant in the room).

He will last as long as Moshiri wants him. Moshiri hasn’t been bothered in the slightest about the uproar now, he knew this would be a very touchy appointment and he just doesn’t care. So Rafael will be at us till Moshiri wants him gone... not the fans.

It's results that will see him sacked not style of play.

Well if you would have said to me 12 months back that David Moyes would finish 6th with West Ham over Carlo Ancelotti's Everton I would have laughed in your face.

In other words lets see what the fella can do next season before crying that we are already relegated...
Chatting bubbles again. I haven't seen anyone say they want us to lose let alone we're already relegated. Why can't you Benitez lovers have a conversation without twisting/lying about the reasons for others not wanting him? It's weird.

That’s not what kopites do. Kopites laud all their players as gods (remember that cb kid who was the next Van Dyke after one good game last season?) and then if they make a mistake it’s straight to the death threats and abuse online.
'Kopite Behaviour' gets lashed around that much about anything people don't agree with that it's lost its meaning to most. They just say it without engaging their tiny little brains

Would that be the same kind of courage as the kid who is hanging it up in the photo hiding behind his hoodie so nobody can see his face and probably wasn't even born when Benitez was in charge of the RS?

Thankfully most Evertonian's regardless of their thoughts on the new manager are condemning the pathetic kopite style behavior on the idiotic twitter accounts that are giving it air time.

Peaceful protest isn't defacing your own stadium with abuse hiding behind a hoodie. It is nothing but scumbag behaviour
Protest over appeasement every time.
The current board are just the current custodians of the club. The stain of having the FSW will stay forever.
Supporting the FSW is supporting the board not the club.

My own theory is after Watford took legal action against us over the Silva affair we've probably been given a slap on the wrist and told to stay away from approaching managers in a job for a while.

Either that or the owners are fed up of paying compo for the likes of Koeman/Silva to only then pay them off 18 months later.
I think it# the second part.

Probably right to be fair.
To be honest I’ve been fortunate to witness the great Everton sides of the 60s and 80s and they are the standards I judge managers by , I know we are unlikely to attain that level again but I still live in hope we will at least aim for that standard.
For me , the appointment of one of the arch disciples of defensive, negative football is very dispiriting at best. This feeling is intensified when so many other clubs and coaches are now playing versions of attacking football.
He’s a negative coach with negative connotations.

Reckon the first home games atmosphere will be based purely on who we sign now player wise, even with Rafael coming in if we were able to sign some really good players and put them straight into the team he MIGHT get away with most of the abuse.

Imagine we start the season with the same team with iwobi Keane siggy though, be mayhem that
