Unless FSW radically changes the style of football he coaches I can’t see him lasting longer than 12 months at best.
Ironically if he coached a similar style to Klopp I think he’d have had a far better chance of survival.
Goodison won’t endure negative football for too long and even his RS fans admit his football was boring.
What a stupidly myopic appointment this will represent.
Martinez lasting over 6 months. Silva lasting over 6 months.

Get behind the club if he is appointed.

I'm uncomfortable with the horrible name calling of Rafael, we are not scumbags. This is still a human being. Let's remember that.
I can understand the opposition to Benitez's appointment. Some think he is defensive or past it. These are legitimate worries and perspectives. The Liverpool stuff is emotional incontinence. The "FSW" stuff is racist stereotyping and we should be far better than that.

It's results that will see him sacked not style of play.

Im not convinced he will even get those.
That he's a kopite gets on my t!ts. That everything will be associated with them gets on my t!ts.
But. The biggest issue. The most important issue. Is i think he's a has been dinosaur that has fell out with players and owners at clubs that he had the set up to do wonders at. Namely madrid and inter. They both realised they had made an error with his turgid style of football. And got rid.
It smacks of the most underwhelming blinkered appointment this club could have made. And it looks like they've only gone and done it.

If they come out and say, It's Benitez lads and lasses and any other gender definition as we are inclusive, we know you hate him but we're giving him £300m to spend, would that appease people.

Clutching here like

Totally agree.
I'm not swayed against him based on things he said or his previous employer. I am swayed by what he'll bring as a Manager. Unfortunately, Farhad hasn't called to ask my opinion so I doubt I'll have any influence at this late stage.

Its not just the fact that Benitez is an ex Redshite that's putting people's back up, Its the whole package. Lets not pretend that if he was a reborn Bill Shankly in his prime or even Klippy right now that we'd be seeing this level of disgust and vitriol. Its not the same, the man doesn't have a fraction of their ability and he's one of the most unlikeable bellends to ever be involved in the game. It doesn't matter that the other options are even worse because they would've stood more of a chance. This will end in disaster. When this appointment goes south early on and ends with him getting the sack in December it will 100% be on Moshiri.

The Spanish are not a race.
At least understand what actually constitutes racism before accusing people of such a serious offence.
Cheers!
( obviously the Spanish are members of shared racial group ).

The worry for me is that a few of our players have a history of getting managers sacked, especially those who want them to work hard. They will know that Benitez is disliked by the fanbase, and therefore his position may well be undermined before we've even played a match. It's a difficult situation for him to come into, and it will be interesting to see how he approaches it.

Personally think it could work out in that him and the board will know the hostility the appointment already brings. If the players go hiding, the board should back him in benching/flogging said players.

I do think it would take a lot more than a few bad results and toxic atmosphere for Mosh to sack him. He's set his stall out knowing all that comes with it so has to back him

Pickford,Digne,Godfrey,Richarlison,James,Allan,Doucoure,DCL.
Which of these are not good enough ?
85% would probably mean two only are good enough.
Maybe not 85%, that was just an angry fan comment, but of a 25 man squad, at least 17 are either not good enough to be playing in a team battling for Top 6, may or may not make it or have major question mark over them as it stands. If we keep involving them in the team, expect more 8th-12th place finishes.

Sigurdsson, Davies, Gomes, Iwobi, Bernard, Kenny, Coleman, Keane, Mina, Holgate, Delph, Gbamin?, Tosun, Kean?, Gordon?, Branthwaite?, Nkounku?
