But who is making us top 4 mate? lol

We aint good enough its that simple pal - we need to start signing better players before we demand that in all honesty. Leicester are light years ahead of us and didn't finish top 4.
No one could, at least not in the foreseeable but in the meantime while we’re treading water might aswell have brought in a younger or more progressive coach to give them a chance to build a side up over the next few seasons and try to give our club an identity again and play a more modern attack minded style. Instaed of a washed up fat kopite hoofball merchant who’ll not have a future with us past the next 12-18 months if he’s lucky

But we’re not going to end up 4th with a trophy are we?

Probably not. But no one knows for sure. My point is that the ‘best’ football is the one that gets the best results, the most points, the higher league position. Anything else is just subjective opinion. Winning makes fans happy, not losing with a certain style of football.

Yeah that's why Dunc is talking on ToffeeTV about the fans booing Allardyce and the team off of crap 1-0 wins.

If you think they won't boo him when we're winning then you're wrong. We have done it before.

If he’s winning lots of games for us and the fans are booing because of the style of the wins, after what we’ve seen over the last five years, then as a fan base we really have utterly lost the plot.

The game is about winning. Let’s get back to not being one of the most embarassing outfits in the league on the pitch before we start moaning about it not quite being the school of science.

Well yes, but plodding along in mid table playing boring, depressing, safety first football is worse than plodding along in mid table trying to play somewhat entertaining football.

Hiring a failed manager who is an icon for our city rivals is only going to add to our embarrassment.

The difference is though that playing ‘entertaining’ football with poor players usually involves you getting beat a lot and heavily, so you don’t end up plodding along in mid table, you end up in a relegation battle when you realise your right back can’t cross a ball, our midfielders can’t put a pass together, the front two can’t link at all, and the starting CBs are as slow as concrete.

As I’ve said before, I can’t see any option but a season or two of ‘solid’ football to maintain position whilst the squad is improved. It’s not a question of a different manager coming in to spark these players to life, some of them have failed under Martinez Koeman Allardyce Silva Ancelotti. You can’t get a much more varied set of managerial styles than that. Why would they play for a Potter if they won’t play for any of them? The sad truth is that the likes of Keane Coleman Davies Siggurdson Gomes aren’t good enough to play for anyone.

@ForeverBlue92 did make a point before saying that would be the ideal. Problem is...who?

And also, Mosh doesn't seem to wanting to be investing millions on someone who would be seen as a gamble like we're a Norwich or Derby and it going wrong - grabbing a Daniel Farke or Wagner. Fancy that?

I would be very interested in Thomas Frank

Finding the up and coming top manager is how we bridge the gap. The club haven't even bothered trying to find that person. They've given up trying.
