He's been desperate for any club who'd employ him since he left Liverpool. He's just managed in China for 2 years and tried to court the Newcastle job back. He'll take anything.

Thats what I keep coming back to. Its not like we are locked in a battle with City for Pep is it? If he has said "I want £200m to spend" and we say "No chance", thats it. Done.

Basically, unless I am thick, he needs a job more than we need him.

So heres the contract, heres the budget, and heres the backroom.

So it just feels not right to me. In a good way.

I am a red and having heard the burden of my sins for supporting Liverpool from morally superior Evertonians, I want to ask each Everton fan what are you going to do about the banner outside Rafael's house. How can you ever assuage the collective guilt you all have from this. How will you ever wash off this sin of threatening someone's family. What will be your thoughts on folding the club.
Maybe time for you to move on mate, nothing to see here that concerns your sorry red ass.

If they are decent enough to not support that kind of vitriol then I'd like to assume they are decent enough to get behind the team and give the guy a chance. If they are so tied to an off the cuff comment from 14 odd years ago(that wasn't exactly a lie either) then they might need a reevaluation of what's important in life. Grow up comes to mind
Sanctimonious comes to mind too.

I honestly cannot believe after 2322 pages of discussion you think its all down to the small club comment and that's it. I cant get my head around that. Are you just popping your head in to post the same thing before leaving again without reading anything?

The cheek of it.
Coming on here trying to take the moral high ground.

Im not convinced it wasn’t them either.
The graffiti and banners over the weekend were NOT done by the lads who done the first lot.
I’m very dubious about the one at his house.
Yeah. Something's defo fishy.

I dont know Caldy, other than I know where it is, its got a lot of wealthy folk living there, and my Dad went to school there.

But I have delivered tons of parcels to a place near me which has a lot of wealthy folk living there. They all have gated access, CCTV, and most likely, a private security firm they all chip in for. Top level, "professional" robbers will be able to get access anyrate, (hence the security firm). Folk who paint on a bed sheet? I doubt it.
Are you saying it was an 'inside job'? Like his Mrs? Were the sheets Egyptian cotton?
We must be told !!

Im not having that the same level of angst would currently be going on if we were on the verge of appointing a Dyche/Potter.

We all know the elephant in the room for many...

Of course it wouldn't be.

It will mainly be because he is a Liverpool legend, not because of the comments with a dose of being finished and a huge amount of what a stupid divisive appointment it would be.

The sheer arrogance of you and @Toffeepot is astounding. How dare you tell people how to support the club?

Why's it taking so long then, has to be a sticking point somewhere

Work through potential ones.

Salary? Nah.
Budget? Take it or leave it.
Contract length? Maybe. But again, take it or leave it.
Backroom? Nah.
Compo to existing club? Nah
Tunnel Pass? Could be.

It makes no sense, unless he has hugely over played his hand. "I want that player, that player and that player". But again, take it or leave it.

Everton have been silent. Why?
