You obviously do have a problem with it though, hence why you have been posting about it over and over again today like you are trying to get a reaction (and I am obviously daft enough to give you one).

The banners and abuse is an incredibly small amount of people, yet you seem to be taking a pop at anybody who doesn't want him as our manager.

People are perfectly well within their right to not back him if they don't want him! Your not rating of DCL could be deemed as not being support either. I think its a mad opinion but you are well within your rights to think that way.

I feel like you are seeing everything in black and white. You either back Benitez or you are bad fan and a nasty person or something. There is so much more to it than that.

Remember at the beginning of all this? Not a divisive appointment? This is exactly what I meant. This will rage for ages.

There is a difference between not rating a player who is/was serving up slop over the course of 1+ seasons and hammering a bloke who's not even 1 second into the job!!

Thats the point - if Benitez comes on board and does crap by all means chase him out - but doing so before a ball has even been kicked is embarassing and makes the fanbase look like self entitled idiots.

Do you really think our fanbase will come out of this looking good?

Former Everton boss Sam Allardyce believes Rafael Benitez can win over any fans unhappy by his potential appointment simply by winning matches.

Benitez is set to be appointed as Everton's new manager this week after the former Liverpool boss agreed key aspects of his contract with the club.

"The fans are on your side when you start winning, that is what it is all about," he told Sky Sports News. "I'm sure there are a lot of Everton fans who are unhappy with the situation because of the rivalry between Liverpool. Rafael's track record is very good.

"You can talk about the style of football that you play, first it is winning and then winning and playing well is the ultimate goal.

"The style of football is talked about so much, it overshadows what is more important, winning matches and finishing up the league to match the expectation and money spent."

Sick of the negativity of certain individuals on here. It will be what it will be and Everton comes first and wish the manager whoever they will be as much luck as possible.
