I just dont get how some on here are so riled up by the whole thing tbh.

I mean after the last few seasons im just numb to it all - if its Benitez whatever see how he does. We've just had Ancelotti and done nothing.

I have a few mates who aint Blues (Villa, Wigan, QPR, Derby) and they have all pretty much said our reaction in recent days has been embarassing.

You don't get it because you have zero empathy for anyone else's opinion.

I totally get disagreeing with it, but not "getting" it? Try reading other peoples stuff, it's all in there.

Because we are slowly morphing into Geordies and we can't even see it.

I dont want us loved by others but I also dont want us to become a banter club with a fanbase every home crowd just laughs/pitys when we rock up for an away day.

I'm in the same boat.

It's a big shrug from me with Rafael but I would be interested in what he wants to do cos he's got some stones to take the job. I'm also not worried about us if he gets it. Safer hands.

There's no one that excites me either since Carlos gone. Anything feels like a step down for me anyway.
