Ok so klopp has won the league & champions league within the last couple of years during which time Benitez has what relegated Newcastle and been crap in China . You don’t get that ?

You're going in circles mate - the reality is it ultimately comes down to the small club jibe/LFC connection/being fat.

I couldn't care less about either of those providing he does a good job here and ends the misery of the last 7+ seasons.

Thats all fans should be arsed about not nonsense like what colour underwear he wears or if his Xmas tree has red baubles or not.

Same just got to the point was just over it accepted its happening. Now is down to him to change peoples views, looking at palace and spurs who both still struggling to find a manager. Doesnt seem to be much quality out there to go for at the minute, especially us the club was just caught out by carlo

I hated Bill Shankly - but when that lot crapped on him & he came to our games every week, & i read about some former players admiring him as a great man manager the more I read about him, he came across as a great manager - when we won the league in 1970 - they gave manager of the year to Don Revie, he wrote to the FA saying - Harry Catterick deserved it more than Revie .......

he was a great phycologist of a manager too - Joe Royle mentions that .....so after many years, my hatred - turned into a bit of warmth for him .....
I am not happy with RB coming, but I will judge him on results & performances - the bitching on here OMG no moans when Sheedy, Harper & Beardsley & Ablett plus a certain Johnny Morrissey came to us - in fact I cannot remember ever signing a dud player off them......

A manager is different - I agree, but like any Manager if he fails they get sacked anyway......

It will not stop me supporting my club - they are in my blood since I was born .....

Ok so I don’t want Howe so can we stop talking about him like it’s a binary choice .

I’m genuinely not arsed about him being fat or that bothered about the small club thing , the RS thing is a factor but only on the basis that he’s literally splitting the fanbase before he started and there is nothing in his recent career that suggest that’s it’s worth the risk .

I hope he succeeds , I keep saying it but I don’t understand why it’s him or Eddie Howe . I just want someone that doesn’t create an environment where we have banners before he starts and who RS , relegation and China don’t feature loud and Proud on his CV . It doesn’t feel like I’m asking for the world .
