I know the end of last season is raw, but tell me honestly you didn’t feel the same way at the end of Silva, Koeman and Martinez’ time?
I’ll miss out Allardyce as he always was what he was.
These players have served up gutless performances at the end of every manager’s spells.
It’s a difficult one. I know out of those 3 I probably hated silva the most. I remember us struggling at home to Huddersfield and losing to Sheffield United. it was mainly aimless possession and doing nothing in the final third and really poor defense. I’ve always believed that your home form is crucial and you should aim to try and win ever home game and if you get a point away from home that is a good result. Whilst ancelotti provided us with an amazing away form this season our home form was disasterous. The lack of fans may be used as an excuse but even when we did have fans we barely dominated sides. I remember ancelotti first game v Burnley we scraped past them 1-0. This was only a few weeks after we had smashed Chelsea at home. We then scraped past brighton 1-0. Conceded twice in extra time to draw with Newcastle 2-2 . We only won one game convincingly at home which was against palace and even then we only killed the game off in the 88th minute when palace were seeking an equaliser. To top it all off we ended the season getting battered by relegated Bournemouth. We had far more convincing home performances under allardyce than we did under ancelotti.

Im open to quite a few names mate - Poch/Biesla/Zidane would be my main choices now Conte looks Spurs bound but that Sarri could be an interesting one. Likes of Ten Hag, Favre and Kovac are all decent names as well but how they would fare in the Premier League is another question.

At worst if its Nuno I would content but underwhelmed.

Bielsa could be good as long as he can find the correct defenders in his system - very good on the eye Leeds to watch, but they did make a lot of mistakes defensively. Leeds would have got Europe if they had a better defense.

We had virtually 3 great years from his playing system, if he came into Everton and managed to play like we did in our 1st Premier season, I’m sure the Everton fans would be happy and would see some progress and style to attain to, ask yourself when we first entered the Premier league would you have been happy if Everton played in our manner?, if so and Nuno, can replicate this at Everton?

Ignoring playing systems- Nuno the manager would be 100 percent committed and behind the project he would be working in, the guy was separated from his family for 12 months, the guy gave 250k of his own money to a food poverty charity in Wolverhampton. His backroom staff are also essential so I would see no room for old favourites (big Dunk)

I am not saying Nuno is your answer, but I have no doubt if he were to take over any club, he would give 100%, be committed, stamp a playing style and not just disappear when a bigger club came calling. My concern is that I am not sure Everton fans have the patients if things start off slowly but as a committed manager, I would not be concerned at all. I have never known a manager leave our place with so much love for what he did

I would not worry too much about the Mendez link, not all our playing staff were connected to this guy, but it is our board who have a close connection with Mendez and Gestifute, hence the reason we were able to attract certain players when in the Championship. It does have its pluses and minus, look at players like Pedro Neto and Jota, purchased when young and unknown.

We now have our own concerns, looks like we are about to appoint the Portuguese Kevin Keegan which is possible going to be some ride next season. Best of luck going forward and whoever you appoint.
Interesting that you mention patience, know a few Wolves fans and they used to joke Molinueux was poison if they weren't winning in the first 20 mins. Think this was the era of Jack Hayward's largesse and the expectation was leaving the Championship. Big spend, little to show for it.

Guess expectations got reset over time and with a changing contect. But it is a good point, will he be accepted and given time? Already there are moans on here.

Given the posts seem to be all about managers who have had success with good squads, maybe a Potter type who's managed to keep an average side comfortably in the Prem might be a better fit.
No point bringing in a guy whose used to managing world class players and having it all handed on a plate. This is Everton and we sign players like bolasie and iwobi

Sarri would be outstanding.

Recruited Allan at Napoli, plays a high-line back four and attacking football.

Give him a couple of recruits and he would be a perfect Ancelotti replacement.

Plus he has some serious passion in him, so wouldn't just let some of those frauds just roll over like Silva and Carlo did.
Nahh shouldn’t get Sarri, bloke is crap… ;)

In all honesty he would be a great manager to get, he got Napoli playing some absolutely brilliant football and got them really challenging Juve for the title (2nd, 3rd, 2nd in his 3 seasons there) even after losing Higuain

One of the main reasons he left Chelsea for Juventus though is that he wanted to be back in Italy to be with his elderly parents, and with him being in talks with Lazio it might take quite a lot to give that up

so to come to us to achieve what? Ffs
Create a team that plays an attractive brand of football? Or would you rather another previous high achiever who can only get points by parking the bus, because the deadwood will be around for a while yet. There was a reason Ancelotti set the team up the way he did.
