Interesting that you mention patience, know a few Wolves fans and they used to joke Molinueux was poison if they weren't winning in the first 20 mins. Think this was the era of Jack Hayward's largesse and the expectation was leaving the Championship. Big spend, little to show for it.

Guess expectations got reset over time and with a changing contect. But it is a good point, will he be accepted and given time? Already there are moans on here.

You are 100% accurate Wolves fans are inpatient and like a good moan, Molineux can be a very toxic place. We got took over by Fosun and believed instant success but ended up with Lambert when we were due to have Lopetegui who took the Spanish job instead. Nuno came in the season after and from the off there was something special brewing, a style a swager a winning mentality. The whole club played the same system, youth teams, U18, U23. Only really started hearing moans and groans around Jan/Feb 21. We will see what the future holds if the board made the right decision or not, but Nuno would be steeping into an Everton environment, already in the Premier League, already spend massively and possibly already under achieving and the fans are down hearted that they are not mentioned in the “big 6”, completely different challenge to where Wolvers were, you have to remember we fell down to League 1 just 6 years ago, so competing in the Premier league was superb but fans always want more and this is the crossroads where Wolves find themselves today.

We need a huge squad rebuild, and we need to get back to the old Everton values. Physical, honest, 100% effort etc.
For the next 3/4 seasons, before the stadium move, the only objectives need to be to rebuild the squad and stay in the league! I dont care what anyone thinks, thats is all! Give the job to Duncan, let Brands bring in young players with the right values and personality to be an Everton player. Dont push the panic button after a few poor results and just allow the team to evolve. You cannot do things in one season it will take time. We have veered from path to path in the last 10 years and none of them have worked so its time to settle down and give someone time like Moyes was in order to move forwards!

I just want a manager who wants to be here. Genuinely fed up of managers and players coming in after losses like nothing is wrong, talking down our expectations, looking like they’re doing us a favour just being here.

If we can’t have winning football then at least give the fans a bit of love for the club to get behind. Carlo had his moments of doing it but they died away as the season went on. We had a few games under Dunc and Unsworth (not saying they are the answer at all btw) where the fan base could get united behind someone they liked and there was a bit of fire back in the fan base. Everything else since Martinez’s first season though has just been complete apathy with fans just bickering with each other and even the wins being largely meaningless and predictable.

I’d take any manager who genuinely wants to be here and can motivate the players and the fans to get us all moving forward. I’m not even bothered about style at this point. I’d love to see an Everton team with 11 plyers scrapping for every ball, getting it forward quickly and battling for headers, throwing tackles in just as much as I’d like to see one that could pass a team off the park. The problem is we’ve been seeing neither, teams just floating apathetically through games season after season.
Need at least 8 different players then. Half the squad don’t give a monkey

Good points.

I'm all for Nuno. The idea he'll overhaul the academy etc is what I'd like to happen.

Any manager that comes in and gets asked "can you get us top 4?" Needs to replay "not with this squad"
"what are your aspirations?" The replay needs to be "A good team".

I don't see why we'd be interested in Sarri. His Napoli team were great but his efforts with Chelsea and Juve were hopeless.
Even Lampard was an improvement.

I mean at Chelsea he came 3rd in the league, got them to a league cup final and won the Europa League.

Then at juve he won them the league and got them to the final of their cup. All things considered I think he done quite well at both sides just that both sides demand more then that.

The issue with sarri-ball (and all styles of play) is it takes time to imprint a style on a team and at the big clubs you don't have time. They just want the quick fix that'll deliver as fast as possible.

Having said all that I dont really think that we have the players to play sarri-ball. You need good ball playing cbs that can play a high line and a midfield and forwards that can press.

They will say whatever it takes to get that mega contract were you work for 18 months but get paid for 3 years..

It’s massively unpopular but I’d take Moyes with Ferguson as his successor in a few seasons. We keep rotating between big name managers but the overriding feature has been they don’t care enough about Everton and they’re bringing in players who don’t care either. There’s no Cahills Howard’s Jagielka Carsleys in this squad at all at the moment. Moyes and Ferguson would at least give it everything, get us back to a certain level and at least show a bit of pride and commitment. It’s not asking for much but I seriously doubt some other managers can bring that.

A lot of these managers grow up dreaming of the top European clubs. They have their starter club, the one that makes them known, then often their one that’s the stepping stone into a top league. Once they’re on the radar then they want to go to a top club. When Everton come calling they see it as best as a stepping stone like Martinez Koeman and Silva all did. Koeman was annoyed he needed another club rather than going straight from Southampton to a top team. They just don’t care. They’ve got no passion for it at all. We need someone who wants their career pinnacle to be winning trophies with Everton.
Yes let’s get players and manger that care about the club. Works at Chelsea/City/RS o wait no they dont

Ferguson needs firing end of
