We need someone young and ruthless but relatively unknown who will walk in and say ‘Duncan there’s no room for you on the coaching staff, laters’

Thats what i mean by ruthless mate. Someone who will say this is my formation/style i play and this is the staff I'm bringing with me. Not like Brands saying well you can bring a number 2 with ye but his fella must be part of your coaching staff.

ruthless should mean winning by any means necessary, being flexible and not hung up on their own importance / superiority if it comes into conflict with what’s best for the team they put out

I haven't got a clue who we should go for. Conte is the name on the above which I'd prefer but I don't think he'd come. I do quite like the idea of a younger manager with big club experience like AVB but he has underperformed at a few clubs now.

How much experience did Pirlo have when he took over a much larger club than Everton?

Lampard had one underwhelming season at a Championship club before a much larger club than Everton gave him a chance

How did Pirlo do in his first managerial season inheriting 9-times-in-a-row-champions Juventus with an insane squad?

Agree win any which way you can but still every manager has his own preferred style

the players must be all wondering WTF is going on? Not only did Carlo leave suddenly, he's now looking to 'poach'
In super-ego players like Ricarleson, Iwobi and James Rodriguez, Carlo was the glue that held them together and kept everybody grounded. Steve Bruce or another experienced / level headed manager may be good option to come in and calm everybody down before all our stars get twitchy and jump ship
Sigurdson is on a nice juicy contract after his 40 million transfer, so he's not going anywhere.
