Dave
i'd bring him back for the transfers alone. Imagine signing players who were good again. Just think of all the great signings, Lescott, Baines Jags Arteta Cahill the list is endless, and the last one, John Stones.
Yes we'd lose away to the big six. big deal. I just want to be half decent again,
What is the point in being half decent? i want a manager that will make us full decent

Just been reminded on this quote

"Everton chairman Bill Kenwright said earlier this year: "One very famous football club said to me two or three days ago 'whenever we have a problem we say 'what would the Everton board do because they always get it right?'"

What a deluded idiot he is.
To be fair, you have no idea what HIS criteria of "getting it right" is.

That Athletic piece: typical hackery from ex Echo chimps sent out to blackguard a manager that the club want to vent against.

I have no regard for Ancelotti concerning this walking out - and I wanted him gone at the end of the season anyway - but these hacks really take the biscuit. They also want to keep in with the players at the club....you know, the ones that couldn't be arsed turning up for the past few months, so they leave in a juicy arse covering line for them about Ancelotti saying "just play".

If I was Ancelotti after 18 months with them I'd have been telling them to "just eff off".

The first season was a success because of the two he brought in: Barry and McCarthy.

Osman. FFS!

And he introduced Barkley, Lukaku, Del and Stones. He inherited Moyes solid back 4 and that was it really. It’s over played when people say he inherited Moyes team.

Always felt the real blame why it all went wrong for Martinez should be levelled at the board. We didn’t strengthen after the first season. Just bought Rom and Barry and lost Del and then bought two crap players (Besic and Alcaraz I think?)

3rd season was going ok up until we imploded around Feb time. But again he wasn’t given the funds to buy better players.

In hindsight he should have been given the money afforded to every manager since.

To be fair, asking this squad to “just play” football is actually a stretch. If anything they should be having a go at him for expecting the impossible.

Third season we had the run of opening fixtures from hell and did ok. Then the day we were to face United at home and HK died and we fell apart that day. The PL was tough from that point, but we did very well in the cups.

His team's couldn't defend that was the biggest issue
