Im sure the club could still speak to the fans regardless, silence just feeds nonesense rumours. Why cant they slam Carlo in public for walking out, seems odd we didnt fight to keep him. Why havent we taken Real to court for poaching. We just act so weak its embarrasing.
Not sure if it’s true but a lot of reports that Ancelotti had clauses in his contract to allow him to walk in certain circumstances. So I don’t think Madrid did anything wrong. I’ve no doubt Moshiri will talk about it in good time. Better off putting their energies into appointing the right manager.

None of that addresses that there are reasons to believe the 'just play' comment, and that rather than being 'reeled in' people are just thinking yeah that sounds plausible. Also this group really hasn't seen off 4 managers, I don't know why people always do this. 11 of the match day squad for the 5-0 thumping by City were brought in by Brands, and 1 more was a kid that's never played before. The idea that we've still got the same squad that 'downed tools' on Martinez is just absolutely bonkers, there's only one of them left!

I wasnt going back to martinez. Look at the starting line up in the embarrassing cup exit at anfield under silva. Most are still here right now and a lot of those were brought in by koeman.
The point about the midfield is it could be looked at at just play if thats what you want to believe if you've already got a downer on ancelotti. My point is they're all non creative midfielders with no pace. No goals in them. No assists in them. You know there is another viable option that they're just crap.

Im not sure it was poaching, reports have it his agent approached Real when they knew Zidane was quitting plus he was meant to have something in his contract that allowed him to leave.
He's done us like a kipper but hey ho we move on.

That Athletic piece: typical hackery from ex Echo chimps sent out to blackguard a manager that the club want to vent against.

I have no regard for Ancelotti concerning this walking out - and I wanted him gone at the end of the season anyway - but these hacks really take the biscuit. They also want to keep in with the players at the club....you know, the ones that couldn't be arsed turning up for the past few months, so they leave in a juicy arse covering line for them about Ancelotti saying "just play".

If I was Ancelotti after 18 months with them I'd have been telling them to "just eff off".
Just play! If only they could.

To address the fans and reassure them at least, is that to much to ask? not expecting them to tell us who they are looking at replacing carlo with but a small statement would be reasonable.

Again, I don't think you're really understanding the point. I'm not saying the players aren't crap, but that doesn't mean that the 'just play' thing doesn't have any truth to it. What you're saying can - very obviously - also be applied in reverse, if you don't want to blame Ancelotti then you can put it down as mischief making. One is no better than the other.

Martinez was 4 (permanent) managers ago, so I assumed you were going back that far with you saying 4. I think counting Allardyce is a bit disingenuous because nobody 'saw him off', he was a short term appointment who wasn't getting the job regardless. Even counting Koeman is harsh on a load of them because they only played about 10 games under him, they hardly had time to pick tools up nevermind put them back down. As I said, 12 of the last squad we picked have only played under 2 Everton managers, 6 of them only under 1. Every time a manager fails everyone says 'these lot all threw x under the bus too' and every time it isn't true.

Slamming a manager you heralded as 'world class' who aimed for European football and finished 10th playing some poor football, who then engineered a move to a far bigger club, looks small fry and undignified.

You thank him for his time, say that the season should've gone better, we are still pursuing European football as our intention and appoint a younger cheaper manager who you resource to get you into Europe.

Real didn't 'poach' Ancelotti, he enquired about the role, if reports are to be believed, and then bit his hand off.
