Simple question mate. You say Ancelotti makes average players better.
Apart from DCL who , in your opinion , improved under Ancelotti?
Pickford

Didn't know we were looking for a poster boy as new manager. Undoubtedly a great player but poor performance by Juve last season doesn't reflect well on him.Not many great players make great managersTo paraphrase Fabian Delph:
You'd ask for a photo if you ever met Pirlo.
Interesting. I thought he got much , much worse initially but by the end of last season he had returned to his previous level.Pickford
Pickford
BS. Pickford is a hit and miss keeper. He will look good for stretches and bad for stretches, Carlo didn’t improved Pickford, he’s just on a good run.Pickford
Pirlo was unfairly treated at Juventus...they were on the right track with him.
McKennie was carrying the midfield all season...a player who doesnt have the stamina to last a full game but did put the effort in after arriving not in the best physical shape.
Arthur had several injuries
Bentacur is wildly inconsistent
Ramsey has performed in flashes
Bernardeschi isnt good enough
Dybala has been mostly injured
Chiellini is past it and injured
Bonucci is past it
Morata hit form then got injured
Cuadrado was good then got covid
Rabiot began inconsistently
De Ligt had a shoulder injury
Over the season he has:
Got the best out of a last legs Ronaldo and Cuadrado
Improved Chiesa, Kulusevski, McKennie, Rabiot, De Ligt and brought Frambotta through from the youth.
Champions league and 2 trophies in his first season.
He would need Brands to bring in young players for him to teach and would have to move on a lot of the squad.
A very inspired appointment if true.
Pirlo doesnt speak English...
...English speaks Pirlo.
I really dont believe you watched them. Either that or you didnt understand what he was trying to achieve and how the older players (mostly) failed him...
FORWARDS
Pirlo wants to press teams high up the pitch and then drop back to defend.
He cant press high up the pitch because:
Ronaldo doesnt press + no point only Morata pressing up top.
Therefore he had to go immediately deep with a press which is 10th in the league statistically. Something that does not follow his tactical plans.
DEFENCE
Then you have Bonucci/Chiellini who arent good enough. If you watched 50% of the Juventus games then you can see that with your own eyes.
Chiellini is gifting goals away and Bonucci is done. The only thing they succeeded in doing was sitting very deep when they played and this also nullified Pirlos tactic of pushing forward -- with Danilo as a utility player coming in (hardly a top player) and Sandro playing about half a season.
De Ligt was injured and Demiral needs a player next to him who is a calming influence...the older players let him down there.
Cuadrado is the only player at the back who consistently played well...but only for half a season as a typical right back.
Again, if you watched 50% of the games you would know this.
So neither the defence or forwards were able to follow his plans
Kind of an obstacle dont you think?
MIDFIELD
Bernardeschi is rubbish.
Ramsey was freqently injured and showed high levels of ability occasionally
Rabiot grew into his role over the season.
Bentacur was basically Gomes in terms of consistency
McKennie arrived unfit and unconditioned and yet Pirlo managed to develop him as the legs in midfield even though he didnt last for full matches as he doesnt have the stamina to carry the midfield on his own.
Its quite funny you mention Arthur playing more for Juventus than Barca...if you watched both teams...you would see that they started him about the same amount of times.
Kulusevski and Chiesa were two shining lights of the season. If you watched the matches you would often see the space that Pirlos tactics created for them out wide.
But yeah...you say you watched the games but cant actually explain why Pirlo's tactics werent good.
"He lost games" isnt a critique of a managers tactics....
He won 2 trophies and got them champions league with a squad decimated by injury and suffering from age and a lack of quality in depth.
What are your thoughts on Pirlo?
Spot on.
The 'favourites for the title' had:
Chiesa
Rabiot
De Ligt
Kulusevski
McKennie
Demiral
Arthur
Other than those 7 the rest of the squad needs a total overhaul.
They should have given him another season.
Did they need a huge overhaul of the squad last season when they pissed the league? Injuries is a poor excuse when you consider this is a team that has won NINE on the bounce previous to his appointment, at which point they didn’t just miss out on the title, they actually finished FOURTH
Ancelotti did a very good job with Pickford, took him out the firing line when he needed to and you can't argue that Pickford hasn't found his best form in an Everton shirt in the last few months under him since the Derby.BS. Pickford is a hit and miss keeper. He will look good for stretches and bad for stretches, Carlo didn’t improved Pickford, he’s just on a good run.
How many Chelsea managers have passion?Don't know about anyone else but I'm absolutely sick of seeing the word "passion" mentioned in line with the new manager search on twitter.
I couldn't care less about passion tbh, just find someone good.

A very small consolation, but at least it wasn't our fault (really) that it all went tits up.We need to give every new manager at least 1 season for me.
Judge them on their 2nd season.
That doesnt mean somebody cant hit the road running, like Carlo almost did, but sadly we have had what seems like 20 managers in 5 years.
Basically I am yet again asking for some stability.
People forget he recently had a baby which messes with your head, sleep deprived and then his form wentAncelotti did a very good job with Pickford, took him out the firing line when he needed to and you can't argue that Pickford hasn't found his best form in an Everton shirt in the last few months under him since the Derby.
He finished the season as the 1 player I didn't want to strangle by the end.
When we appointed him I couldn't have been happier. However his performances at Everton were poor and when you consider how it ended at PSG , Bayern and Napoli you are driven to the conclusion that you are correct.Ancelotti for me is largely past it - he's dining off his name.
Tbf there are a lot of top managers who do have "passion". Guardiola, Klopp, Conte, Tuchel to name a few. But my problem is with the ones who say Ferguson should get it because he's one of us (which he is) and hugs ball boys when we score. How many Chelsea managers have passion?
I honestly think the Derby mistake was his downfall and he literally exorcised that demon with the last Derby. Its as simple as that for me, must've been massive for him.People forget he recently had a baby which messes with your head, sleep deprived and then his form went
5 years seriously?Tbf there are a lot of top managers who do have "passion". Guardiola, Klopp, Conte, Tuchel to name a few. But my problem is with the ones who say Ferguson should get it because he's one of us (which he is) and hugs ball boys when we score.
Passion can get short term results but I'm not convinced about long term. And it is also 1 of the many tools that a manager can have. We need to be looking at a young manager who wants to build over the next five or so years. It's the reason I wouldn't have Conte because we'd just have Ancelotti v2.
