Amazing the way we insert our own narratives into a vacuum of information
I dunno, there’s somewhat of a pattern. Koeman and Silva were both firmly Moshiri’s men and both were not exactly amazing, Koeman especially we all have a special hatred for. Brands was hired to make all footballing decisions including manager. I just cannot see Nuno being the stand out choice in Brands eyes. Now yes, that is purely speculative you’re right. But the point of ‘what is the point of brands of this isn’t his choice’ is still pretty valid

I don’t disagree with anything you say there about the previous appointments… but “I can’t see Nuno being Brands’ choice” is entirely your own narrative. Especially when a lot of the same stories that are touting Nuno are also saying “Brands is leading the search”

So are we swapping one dapper Italian proven winner for another?

There’s nothing wrong with Twitter, it’s all about who you follow. Follow muppets, then obviously it’ll be a cluster ****. Follow decent people and it’s fine.
I used to have a very lively twitter account, mostly to take the mick out of politicians and celebrities. It was fun whilst it lasted.

He doesn't care about not being liked. I think we have too many "nice guys" in the team and we really do need to get that nasty streak back. Just look at how everyone went for Pickford last season. Everyone seems to hate us for some reason and I think it's because they worry that if we do get our stuff together that we actually will become a threat.

Mourinho + Everton is either the greatest thing to ever hit the league or the biggest car crash in modern times, there would be no in between. I would take those 50/50 odds though, just to see the ol' lady to go out with a swan song of frothing, bear pit, blue smoke glory...ahh, dreams.

As of now, Nuno is the clear favourite with the bookies and the media seem to think so too. But I thought he was unsettled in the UK and wanted to see his family? What was the point of him leaving Wolves when he did?
The odds mean nothing: he is literally favourite for the Palace job simultaneously

I dream of this.

I don’t get the hate for Nuno.

*Portuguese
*In his 40s
*Decent but not exceptional at a couple of big European clubs
*Did well with a yoyo English club
Conclusion: Must be Marco Silva MK2

I'm just assuming that's what their thinking is.

IMO, I think he's a quality manager.

I reckon if we were really honest with ourselves and sat him down and put away any delusions of grandeur and just said let's go out and make a big splash and see what happens, I reckon he'd come and I reckon it'd be brilliant.

Just a proper devil may care attitude. Totally unpredictable. I want the opposition to be terrified of us. I want them to wonder if they're going to get lumps kicked out of them or played off the park.
