there is no way a cast-off from a team who finished 13th and below us will be appointed. i don't know why there are posters spinning this story. it's not going to happen.

*Portuguese
*In his 40s
*Decent but not exceptional at a couple of big European clubs
*Did well with a yoyo English club
Conclusion: Must be Marco Silva MK2

I'm just assuming that's what their thinking is.

IMO, I think he's a quality manager.

We’ve had everything from the bloke that relegated Wigan to Allardyce and then to Carlo Ancelotti. They all failed. Previous performance seemingly counts for nothing when it comes to Everton.

Managers can only be judged on whether they can survive in the unique pressure of the Goodison hot seat. Santo will either thrive or within 3 months he’ll have abandoned the tactics of his whole career to move to a 4231 based around Gylfi Siggurdson with a strange inability of the team to take a throw in or cross a ball successfully. When the pressure really mounts up he’ll throw in a suicidal back 5 at Anfield before his eventual firing.

When Moyes left we were a team that had been regularly qualifying for Europe and our manager had just gone to Man Utd. Our shortlist at the time? Phil Neville a current player with no managerial experience, Alan Stubbs, David Weir, Gary Megson, and of course a manager who had left Wigan after relegating them. That was the limit of our ‘ambition’ back then. We are more than capable of repeating a similar trick.

Actually Kenwright approached Rangnick at the time and considered appointing him as DoF, but Martinez wanted total control.

What ever happened to just kicking lumps out of kopites? Seeing the amount of seethe because Saint Virgil had a boo boo was the highlight of the season.

I don’t get the hate for Nuno. He did a brilliant job with Wolves. Was being tipped for the top jobs not long ago. They lost a few key players this year and struggled with injuries, but all in all I’d be happy with him.
I don’t get the hate either tbh. Took them up and then managed back to back 7th finishes. Maybe people think he should have got them in the champions league!? ‍♂️
