You can just imagine Bielsa`s first day at training, when he tries to implement his non stop running system :

An extract from his training notes afterwards would look like something like this :

" The training did not go so well today, as I seem to have broken the following players, Mina, Coleman, Siggurdson, Gomes and Mr Delph had to be taken to hospital by ambulance, due to his left leg dropping off "

" One of the players, who I would describe as the baby of the group, Mr Keane, started crying after his 20th shuttle run and ran into the changing rooms, shouting for his mum "

" I also found a very small Brazilian player, called Mr Bernard, sucking his thumb and hiding under a pile of training tops by the side of the pitch "

" I think that my friend, Jurgen, is going to have to lend me some of his Specialze Brau in the very near future "
"Suddenly this little flat above Tesco Express feels a less happy place"

When you have a world class manager, you don’t replace him. It’s nearly always downwards afterwards. They’re very hard to come by, especially for a club in our position. The shortlist of names to replace Ancelotti would be lucky to have a single name on it anywhere near his standing.

The one that might work and be a continuation of Ancelotti would be either Conte or Benitez. I don't think Conte would come.

If the continual whining about FFP and profitability is an option it might be a chance to go in another direction.

If Ancelotti wants to leave though, we will upwards of 35m better off in terms of the payout we would get (even if this was bartered down a bit, you're still looking at 20m ish) which will be able to get in pretty much any manager we would like.

Conte will be at another top club immediately and even if he did come would probably burn the place to the ground within one season (might not be a bad thing mind you).

I doubt Benitez would have any interest in us. I’m not sure the hipsters on here could stomach his football if they don’t like Ancelotti’s.

If doubt there’d be a single world class candidate on our shortlist who would be obtainable. Even the likes of Jardim are now in other roles.

I think Benitez would come mate. He likes the area and in fairness he went to Chelsea (which to him, albeit not to Kopites) was a far bigger step at that time. The last time the job was about, he couldn't make it more obvious he wanted to come, putting it out on MNF. I mean there's a small part of me that would delight in the dissonance of Kopites having to rationalise Benitez being here, which is obviously the wrong reason, but I think he would be a good continuity candidate from Ancelotti if it played out.

If you were going left field, I wonder about Galtier who has left Lille. We are fortunate that we are not finding a manager mid season in a relegation dog fight, or following 6 months of Allardyce.

Antonio Conte

Gets players playing for the shirt. He’d get us Top 4.

‘I want a back three who can play out from the back, two wingbacks who can work both ways, and two box to box central midfielders who can press’

‘We hear you Antonio, here’s two centrejavles that handle a football like it’s a grenade and can’t concentrate for more than 60 minutes of a game, we’ve also given you a right back who can’t cross or pass a ball and can’t use his left foot, as for the midfielders we have two decent ones but they’re always injured so here’s a collection of players who can’t run pass shoot or tackle. BTW the fans expect top 4 with flowing football and don’t accept the argument that the players aren’t good enough, just tell them to play better or you’re fired’
