Of course they do but xG is so completely irrelevant.

If a striker you're wanting to sign scores 10 goals but with an xG of 6 (so they scored more than expected) it doesn't automatically mean they're insane or purple patch etc. as all games, all situations are different.

Like I say, I love stats but xG is pure tosh.

That's not what I was saying I was saying he would be able to go into detail about the complexities of the game. Well maybe he would. After this year I'm not as sure.

But that's what I mean. Two insanely successful managers with, likely, polar opposite views on stats. If one can win without caring for xG or the complexities then it's just not needed.
