Can I just say that there is developing a bit of a jingoist "Little Englander" mentality in posts on here. Not just this one , either !.
Let's not start trying to alienate Evertonians from abroad. If we disagree with other peoples posts , then so be it. It is irrelevant where they come from.

Twitter is so much worse. Toward Americans with infinitely more knowledge than the people saying they know nothing to.

Chelsea was the only achievement.
Second game v United was huff and puff and we couldn't hold on and drew.
Leicester in the LC: Leicester were the better team by far and we lost on the night.
Arsenal at home was dire.

It got progressively worse.

Why do people argue his case for him? Is it because they were young and hero worshipped him when we were rubbish in the 90s and he was a player who scored against Liverpool and United?

I can only think it is, because its not based on any persuasive reasoning over his 'management skills'.
Duncan got the job for a few games because a manager had been sacked, the manager was not sacked because our results were too good for Everton FC.
Duncan took over a team that was in freefall and steadied the ship with some good results.

This with a squad that you are extremely critical of and before we had the signings from last summer so he had even less to work with.

He may or may not get the job and if he does he may not be a success but to try to deny that the results he got were not really good results simply flies in the face if the blindingly obvious .

Just a question…

Do people on here not like Moyes because of his comments etc when he left? Is that the main reason or just didn’t like him as a manager?

Everyone says he’s not a winner which I get, he’s not my first choice but how many FA cup finals, semi finals & top 6 finishes have we had since he left?
Moyes [Poor language removed] the bed every time we played away against any of the fabled big 4.

He was a completely terrible manager here and he wasn't good for Napoli either. The game is past him and I for one congratulate Simeone on back to back La Liga victories in advance of next season.
I don't really agree with that because mixed with the awful were some really good results

I certainly thought with a few signings we could have a really good team.
I still believe that , only it won't be Carlo who is making the signings or building the team.

Really?! Who?

Now I'm not saying he's the right man or we should be in for him. But Barnsleys manager took them from 21st and staying up on the last day to 5th in one season. Also had good showings in europe with LASK. Would be a much more interesting appointment than most the names linked like Dyche and Moyes
