He was interviewed and didn't fit what we were trying to do.

Allegedly anyway.

There is no way he has turned us down if we wanted him.
Why? Why won't he have turned us down? Maybe he wanted to live in London? Maybe the money isn't there for us right now? It's a bit arrogant to suggest someone wouldn't turn us down. You might well be right like.

If it is true that Nuno has chosen Palace over us, I find that strange. His job there will be the annual one of keeping them away from relegation. At least here he would be higher up the table and aiming for Europe. Perhaps they offered more loot and it is London after all.

Oh I wont be one to be impressed by stats!

I think Potter has ability but then again i think Howe and Nuno do too. Lets face it a lot of these appointments are pure luck anyway.

I am happy to go for whoever Brands choice is with this one (again risky) as that's what he is supposed to be there for.

I still reckon we are getting someone pretty left field who has probably not even got a mention so far.

…I agree about luck, it’s lots to do with right person, right time, right place but I do think they should at least try and out in some criteria to help identify the right person.

I like a manager with a record of building (not inheriting) a side. I like a manager who has a clear vision of how the team play and the type of players who fit that strategy. I like a manager who can change things in games that are not going well. I like a manager with a proven transfer record.

He just wouldn't.

Crystal Palace isn't real London anyway...

Anyway I am basing it off the rumours that we interviewed him and he didn't tick our boxes, not the other way around.

This is all set up for people to be buzzing that Nuno has gone to palace and that we've "dodged a bullet", only for us to appoint someone for twice as much salary and ultimately finish below Palace

Good luck with the Park end Da's then, you gormless twit.

Good job we just give 100% positive feedback without any criticism then.

I just think your post is generally awful tbf.

Who are all these “aging fancy Dans on long contracts” for starters? As far as I know we’ve not got a single player over 28 on a contract of > 2 years.
Allan, Bernard Doucoure Keane Rodriguez Gylfi Delph Holgate Gomes all were poor last year, and either 28 or older or on long contracts. None of them will get in much transfer fee, or will improve next year or will be easily shifted. That's nearly half a team, plus Seamus on his last legs and Mina injury prone. We've basically got three players anyone else would be interested in, the rest forget it.
