Whats the answer?
From what I see about 50 :50.
Rafael was relegated only a few years ago with Newcastle.
To be fair there wasn't much he could do about that, they were just about already gone when he took over a terrible squad and he did bring them straight back up.

I don't particularly want him as manager, would not get upset if he was appointed but am convinced he won't be.

He brought in £153m worth of players.

Not sure how that theoretical excuse makes someone think they were watching better football than they were, though.

I was going for perception, rather than results. Like Sheffield United this season - everyone expected to beat them after a while, but they still had some scalps.

I think it's partially a case of demagoguery, yeah.

I think people tend to become blinded by the reality of a person and their actions if they project onto them in some way. Pardew and Bruce are/were seen as 'Ashleys choice', so will probably never get any love.

Similar to Klippety Klopp acting like a german scouser and drinking pints with the fans. Genuine or not, it's a tactic that works. People see Leicester as the model ownership because Top Srivaddhanaprabha is matey with the players, but it can easily be a problem when the matey guy won't make unpopular but necessary decisions.

You had me at “Srivaddhanaprabha.”

Potter shouts are awful. So are Benitez ones.

My fave is Galtier, but I like Sean Dyche for some weird reason though I'm positive he will never manage Everton. lol

Howe, I don't know why people say he's Evertonian, he didn't play for us nor is born and bred in Liverpool, what's all about?

…often get it with kids whose formative years were in the mid-80s when we were good.

Oh dear what?

One win in 4? Is that not a fact?

Subbed a sub and on his last game served up utter muck to a bored Goodison and with a new manager sitting in the stands watching.

He failed.
To be honest Dave.

Your blindness in your judgement regarding certain people renders your opinion diminished in my opinion.

Duncan Ferguson, Leighton Baines are two notable examples, obviously Roberto Martinez as well for different reasons.

Your lack of objectivity in matters like there colours my opinion of your opinions in all other areas as well.

But, everybody is entitled to their own thoughts.

Would take Howe or Potter (not that I want them either) over Benitez or Pellegrini, please don't lumber us with one of those dinosaurs.
Don't worry journos scouring the internet for any out of work manager as we speak. There'll be more in the frame tomorrow.
