Last 10 years Everton has seen managers departed to "big" clubs or national teams:

Moyes - Manch U
Martinez - Belgium
Koeman - Netherlands and then Barcelona
Ancelotti - Real Madrid

Only Silva is the odd one here (where is he?).
Martinez and Koeman got sacked, but you can't blame the board for hiring those four, seeing where they went after Everton?

All failed at the E.v.. mate

This is the most Everton manager search, ever.

Fully expecting it to drag on for a few more weeks, then us announce Howe or Nuno.

In the mean time, we’ll sign no players and the new manager will be left with a few deadline day panic buys.

I hope I’m wrong.
I mean we aren’t even supposed to be in the position to even look for a new manager, up until last Tuesday we had one and will have had a plan in place for transfers. Ancelotti’s defection to Madrid threw a massive spanner into the works, it was never going to be bang, done in a couple of days getting a replacement when then board weren’t planning for one

Not worried about us taking our time as long as we get the right person in place. Look at Tottenham they've needed a manager since months before the end of the season and they still don't have anybody in place. I'm hoping that we are taking time because we are doing the right things in selecting the next manager and not just picking someone because they are available or the present flavour of the month or because some of our supporters are wetting the bed because we still don't have a manager a whole two weeks since our last one unexpectedly left us in the lurch.
This is entirely too reasonable and will largely go ignored.

Just go and get conte. Just because he turned down Spurs. And see what the cockney loving media make of that.

We will probably all know how it will go. He was a real statement for Spurs. Kane will probably now stay.
At Everton it will be, it’s a big risk and will probably jump ship at the first opportunity

That's the trouble though there is no planning. In football you can't take anything for granted players and managers leave all the time.
Surely there must have been some red flags that all was not well.If I was Moshiri I would expect to be able to go to my DOF at any time and ask him for a list of up and coming managers.

Galloway was not a bad player - in fact if you want to date when Martinez lost the plot to one decision, then dropping him for Baines the moment Baines was half fit would be a good one (Palace at home in his first season would also be a candidate). It destroyed his confidence and I think did a lot to ruin the squads too.

Mate, we could be here all day with some of his decisions.

I'm sure he was thinking they were logical ones, but christ, so many baffling decisions over a short period of time.

As for Galloway, he had a good stint, but I just felt he seemed too rigid. Seems to be doing alright for himself in the Championship, but it was more the comments he used to make about these players... I think Leandro was a "Generational Talent".

Red Flags..........

The completely demotivated teams.

The row on the touchline with Dunc.

The daughter telling half the known world that she was moving to Spain.

It is easy to be wise after the event but everything was not going swimmingly the last few months.
