As soon as the Friedkins arrive that's finally the end of any Kenwright association at Everton. He was the man who brought us the worst billionaire owner the Premier League has ever seen, maybe with the exception of the Venkys fellas at Blackburn.

Moshiri's legacy, if he'd have had it his way, would have seen us sold off to 777. The football club's existence would have been in serious question if that had happened. He gets no credit from me if the Friedkins make a success of Everton.

Kenwright apparently searched high and low for 20 years to find us a suitable owner, and left us with one that almost killed the club. I will give Moshiri credit for delivering us a great stadium.

I hope we can start afresh and forget what's happened the last 20-odd years at Everton.
Lerner,Ellis Short and Mike Ashley were far far worse than Moshiri...but everything else I wholeheartedly agree.

By nature of the competition, you will need to remind us, yes.

It was one for the history books mate.

Demari Gray scored a 2nd half penalty which cancelled out Andes Llinás' opener for Millonarios.

It went to penalties and Begovic was the hero as he saved one and scored the decisive one to give us a 10-9 win. There were Limbs everywhere as there was a total of 6 people on GOT watching it live

Benitez went on to say "I've won tittles in Spain, I've won European Trowphies with Valenthia, Liverpool and Chelsea. I've even won a game against Arthenal as manager of Newcastle. But this is by far the most important trowphy I have ever won and I'm delighted that my win bonnus will help me purchase some property here in Florida"

Moshiri will have lost this club more money than any of them lost their clubs. (Not saying they aren’t worse mind). I think he has been very close to seeing us go bust and has been fortunate we haven’t.

A bit less fortune (ie pope conceding a penalty) and we get relegated, not sure we would have survived that.

He has been a very lucky man that he is even getting any money for us at this point.

Also, as bad as Ashley was, he set Newcastle up to be able to spend significantly when new owners came in.

Change is always going to be a scary thing, even when you are changing from something as bad as our current predicament. However something had to done, we are on a downward trajectory, something significant is needed to arrest this slide. We are in serious debt, our playing staff is substandard and getting worse, our management team wouldn’t get a job at any other club in the Premier League. The club need a complete re-set, every aspect of the club needs looking at and very significant parts of it need radical change. I don’t know if TFG are the answer, at this stage no one does but I do know that something drastic needs to be done. I am approaching the new ownership with an open mind. There are many things I hope they do, there are people I would like to see out of the club but I am prepared to allow myself a little bit of hope. Roll on the New Year and the new era.

I also think there has been a ridiculous amount of bad luck. Recruitment has been disgustingly bad but if we had got even some kind of return on a few of our players that blew up we would have been in a much better place.

Sigurdsson- £45m- £0m back
Bolasie- £28m - £0m back
Gbamin- £25m - £0m back
Tosun- £26m - £0m back
Gomes- £22m - £0m back
Mina- £24m - £0m back
Walcott- £22m - £0m back
Allan- £22m - £0m back

The only one of those that’s down to bad luck is Gbamin, and maybe Bolasie due to the injury situations. (And being unable to sell one player being out of our a control)

The rest is just down to bad oversight, bad recruitment and an inept board (Moshiri) getting too involved.

Wow. Really hits home when you see all the zeros in fees recouped column. Clearly no strategy. No model or plan b. Throw money at a problem and hope for the best! 🤦
