How long is your patience though? For me, it's going to take a period of stability and sound financial proofing.

As for what can Friedkins do, they can't build a stadium, so the only measure is trying to break the establishment.

The unfortunately state of elite football and the unfair rules makes it harder, does it not?

TFG‘s short to midterm goals have to be this first. I’m not particularly arsed about breaking the establishment, that’s how bad it’s been the last few years.

I want 2-3 years of stability, good business decisions & a half decent football team that I enjoy watching. Not asking for much more.

If they show willingness to spend and let the spending be done wisely and without interference and that get's us up to mid table / top half in the next 3 years or so then that'd be acceptable.

What we dont want is some idiot who comes in and puts a faded legendary manager in charge of the team and then watch as the organisation sways from crisis to crisis...which is what I feat this lot will do.

After last 4 years I Would love a season of mid table mediocrity a la Bournemouth/Fulham.

I have to give credit to Moshiri for getting that stadium done.

If they do anything half as significant here I'll be amazed.

The low bar people are talking about doesn't exist, because even two egotists like Kenwright and Moshiri achieved something in terms of stability (Kenwright) and a new facility (Moshiri).

Both were getting rid of because they couldn't get us to where we belong on the pitch as winners. This lot will be judged by the same yardstick.
Yes, the old stability card can be played for about nine months - but by the time we get into the nuevo estadio, there will be a swell of expectation and hope. And there's nothing more toxic than dashed dreams. By then, if we don't have a first class coach and footballers who actually merit the term and don't fall foul of the Trades Descriptions Act, the grumbling will have rightly begun.

People will call for patience. But we've been waiting for 30 years. These guys didn't build the stadium - they are merely capitalising on it. They have no real credit in the bank with fans. That will have to be earned. From today.
