Hopefully this will be a springboard for a much better 2nd half of the season. I still think the quality of the squad is like 15th to 10th at best, but it's enough to be easily clear of danger given how rubbish Ipswich, Southampton, Leicester and Wolves are.

It's why they didn't need to do the shareholder approval stage I guess? Friedkin must have bought out Kenwright's remaining shares off Jenny.

And patience from a fan base that famously hasn’t shown enough of it when it comes to this subject

There’s a responsibility on us as supporters to back the process

I'm not sure its always just been a lack of patience. Sure we could be more supportive and more patient.

But it's also been a lack of quality players in recent years. The young players at other clubs in the North West have been much better than ours and it's difficult for fans to get behind a process we can see is not really working.

Hopefully we start to see progress and better quality coming through our academy. We don't have a great team and if you are good enough you should really be backing yourself to make it at Everton. The path way should be there for good players.
