Let’s give them a chance to do something of significance before we start with the praise mate. We have been let down many times before.
After the last eight years (or almost 40 to be more accurate about it!) of hell, we need to embrace the hope that this is the dawning of a new era for Everton.

No more Moshiri and no more Kenwright and a new stadium. Things surely have to improve from here, but on field progress will be slow and gradual i think.

Of course mate, I just don’t want to see the fans disappointed yet again. Let the people at the club earn that trust and praise for a change.

You have to take the corporate stuff with a pinch of salt but at least they've made an effort. TFG should be judged on the same merits as any other owner.

It is good to have some leadership at the club at last though. Not a minimal, absentee, nondescript board. I expect Marc Watts to see us through to the opening of the stadium and this difficult period to come. His background is impressive. We need people with stature like that, otherwise as we've seen we are easy pickings and can't respond effectively to Premier League politics and vested interests.

The exception to that is Colin Chong. It was great to see him centre stage for the handover, where he belonged and has richly earned.
1000 per cent this. Please set defined objectives and align all activities to that.

Mr Chong deserves a very large bonus too. How he stuck around to see through execution of BMD with the chancers flooring around him I don’t comprehend. Seriously well done. Massively understated figure in the last few years.

He did a great holding up the ship and keeping it afloat after Moshiri, Kenwright and that so called "CEO" jumped off it.

With TFG coming in, I’m full of hope, relief, and anticipation. This is where we turn the corner! We start looking up the table, instead of worrying about getting relegated.
New owners! New stadium! Things can only get better.
But wait…I’ve had a similar feeling before…oh right…It was 8yrs ago when the last billionaire purchased us. He was an accountant as well. What could go wrong?
I’m happy, but I’m still in “wait and see” mode.

Indeed, it's a classy gesture... If you're an Everton supporter. 🤣

Just as long as didn't they use the takeover as an excuse to gave their staff at their Texas HQ Everton kits in lieu of a 13th Xmas bonus salary...

What could be more depressing than expecting a double salary, but instead getting an Everton shirt?
I'm sure most of them were like: What's an Everton??

Comparing TFG’s potential strategy and performance with that of Moshiri’s is not wise. TFG appears to have their own funds from legitimate business operations plus some well-connected funders as opposed to Moshiri who was effectively washing Uncle Alisher’s dubiously generated roubles. Laundering money and building a potential future cash-cow are two very different projects with different rules.
Additionally it would appear that Dan Friedkin and his son don’t get involved in the football side of their portfolio whereas Moshiri thought he was full-on Arsene Wenger.

I’m cautiously optimistic based on the premise that there’s 30+ years of mismanagement and catastrophic decision-making at Everton for TFG to learn from, plus they’ve got some football provenance under their wings already. I’d expect a cautious but controlled first 6-12 months whilst they get a real feel for the beast followed by a more robust period of regeneration and development. It would seem the stars are aligning - let’s hope it’s the dawn of a new, professional and rewarding Everton experience.

Like when Clark Griswold got a yearly subscription to the Jelly of the Month Club. The gift that keeps on giving 😂

I hope we have our best camel clutch, Boston crab, German suplex, Irish whip, and roundhouse right prepared.

We have a notoriety as a fanbase to protect.
