Yes exactly.

No one, not even himself, thinks Dyche will be in charge next season but making a panic change will land us with another Koeman.

Sadly this opinion gets labelled as ‘Dychette’ which is utterly pathetic.

Not by all and I've said that term, can't stand Dyche's brand of anti football, but sick to death of paying off absolute fortunes to failures as well. Can see the sense of waiting 5 months to get shut, we then have new manager who should be sounded out, new stadium, loads of contracts running down, new commercial deals that will allow us to compete and a new beginning. Dyche out, but not unless top class manager/ coach brought in. Prepared to wait 5 months if needed to.

Please don't tell me that he's that nervy, ingratiating, rectum-licking fella who makes soft leading statements rather than asking questions and refers to our barren centre-forward as "Dom" like he's everyone's brother-in-law...

Coleman earning his wages in the media department?

Bit of a scoop this!

If we lose on Saturday and these Texans fail to act, then @davek will be right: they are cowboys.

Quite an enormous stretch.

I don't mind the grim football - if it is successful.

I am all for Dyche staying on untl the summer if he gets us clear of the worry.

But right now it's touch and go. A loss on Saturday tells us that he's no more than a break-even choice to keep us up. 50-50 if we stay or drop. That's not good enough to have to endure puke football.

The Friedkins need to act ASAP. Either get Dyche two or three players he can use effectively to gurantee survival - or sack him with immediate effect and get in somebody who they will back to keep us up and prosper with mid-term.

Sitting on their hands is simply not an option.

Have you considered that the PSR level has left us with minimal ability to sign or sack?

I think we'll move 2-3 players out and bring in 2 new signings.

Dyche i think will continue to be the manager unless we look in peril.

"Unless we look in peril!"?

Um, have you seen the league table?

If we are still in PSR difficulty, then fair enough, not the Texans' or Dyche's fault. I want Thelwell's head on a spike, however, if we have slept-walked back into that trap once more this time under his watch.

Having a caretaker in charge for 2 or 3 games is not a big deal. In fact it often leads to a couple of positive results before the novelty goes away.

If TFG have already decided Dyche is not going to be in charge next season, regardless of what happens, then it makes no sense to delay the change. I feel this is a mistake by the new ownership - Dyche's time at Everton is clearly up.
It is though. Because we’ve not got an obvious caretaker and again it screams ‘we’ve whacked a manager without a plan of what to do so now we’re going to start searching’. Which is how we’ve ended up where we are.

You havent lived Mike.

Wimbledon was peril as was the Lampard drama.

This is like going over the final sand dune before the oasis.

No i have not seen the league table.

Perhaps you would prefer Thelwell to have sold Pickford and Branthwaite?

Almost every team who sack a manager mid season appoint an interim or caretaker manager. It doesn't suggest no plan at all, it's when it drags for 4 or 5 games that you can say there is no plan. 2 or 3 games is normal.

No - I would have preferred he didn't blow 30m on Chermiti and O'Brien if we're that close to the breeze.

Tbh its mind blowing to me how posters dont understand the O'Brien signing.

@GrandOldTeam even laid it out the other day.

Chermiti cost £12mil with most of that no doubt backended. He's a talented prospect.

Clubs are not selling players for 0 downpayment.

At least them two have been relatively inused, so there is still hope they may be decent, spending the money on Beto was ridiculous, surely someone scouted him, even YouTube was enough to see he was awful.

Absolutely. Impossible to know everything going on at football clubs. However, I know the current state of play and what the the ideal plan is regarding Dyche and the rest of the season. Thst said, football is fast paced world and circumstances can always change. That’s all I was replying to 👍🏼

Reading between the lines, you know the score with the current Everton set up (these are people I utterly despise and detest). Hence the plan is to keep Dyche until the end of the season as he will probably do enough to get us to 17th (17th!). These same people that lived and breathed the utter failure of the club the last few years trying to dumb down our expectations, will be telling TFG to stick with Dyche we all back him, everything is fine.

The Kenwright years live on.

Dan Friedkin mate, don't believe them.
