And with no transfer window to rely on.

They have to act this week. At Roma, the evidence suggests they very much think they know more about football than pundits. I'll be surprised if they put up with this. They would have seen the Forest and Bournemouth games as serious opportunities to get a win - but we didn't get a single point. They simply need an excuse to rid themselves of Dyche. They didn't have that on arrival. His three unexpected draws since would have bought a little more time - but he has blown it big-time in the last week. It really is simply about whether or not they have their homework done and somebody ready to step in within the next fortnight.
Hope you're right mate. But, I think that if they truly knew anything about football then they would have done what Newcastle did with Bruce. Anyone with a brain could see what was happening with Dyche. This idea that he automatically keeps us up is a mad one. We may well scrape over the line, but for me, if I had loads of money on the line, I would not feel secure at all in the thought that he would keep us afloat.

People talk about waiting for their first choice to be available, which is all well and good, but TFG put us in this situation by walking away in the summer. It's their perogative- they did the same at Roma to get a better deal - but they must have realised that it had the potential to put us where we are now.

I would love us to get a really exciting manager in the Summer, but if we could get, say Graham Potter now, it might not be ideal but I am sure he would do better than Dyche. He coaches players, makes us more attractive for January and future signings, allows the recruitment team to prepare for a huge Summer of change, by putting deals in place because we know who the manager is etc.

The situation is stupid and could have been avoided.
