Much like Textor and 777, they knew what’s what but couldn’t get involved until the deal was rubber stamped. There isn’t a takeover anywhere in world football where the new owners immediately change managers 5 seconds after taking over

Look at City, Sven wasn’t fired till the end of the season by the Shinawatra family while the Mansoor’s didn’t sack Mark Hughes till half way through their second season
They've been involved in a process since September. It's so obvious we need a change. As soon as the deal was finalised they should have acted.

I'm disappointed and concerned

Apart from when the Saudi’s bought Newcastle and sacked Bruce 13 days (1 game) later. I’m sure there are lots of other examples if I bothered to look.

I'll be honest: Potter terrifies me. Could you imagine Doucoure and Tarkowski playing Potterball?
he Did take over from Houghton at Brighton though mate, who was very much in the Dyche mode, low defensive block, ceding possession and creating few chances the other end.
So he has shown he can take over from a manager on Houghton who's been at Brighton longer than Dyche has been here and quickly turn players around to a completely different style of play
I don't think we can pivot from Dycheball to Potterball without at least a full summer of pre-season and an absolute slate of new players.

I think if we do get a replacement for Dyche this month, it's more likely to be somebody in the vein of Moyes, Mourinho, or Allegri - defensively sound managers who can find a balance between defence and attack - rather than a complete stylistic change a la Potter or Roberto Martinez.

That's not to say I expect any of Moyes, Mourinho, or Allegri, more that I think that's the type of manager we need to get us safe for five months given the absolute dross he will have to work with.

The lack of movement on any front is very concerning.

Those Saudis at Toon were in making stuff happen from the off.

I thought these would have been the same.

I am just happy everyone is sceptical of our owners now.

I hated he who should have not be spoken of but thought Moshiri would be good for the club.

Happy we aren’t doing that horrible “We’re f’n rich” thing again.
