Look at what they did with Roma. When they took over in 2020, the club was in bits – struggling financially, inconsistent on the pitch, and fans were fuming. Sound familiar? They acted quickly, brought in Mourinho, backed him in the transfer market, and boom – a European trophy in 2022. They don’t mess about, and that’s exactly the kind of leadership we need.
Dyche will be sacked now, and I believe Friedkin knows how to spot a proper manager, and I’d bet they’ll waste no time finding someone who can actually get us playing football again. They’ve got the cash and the know-how to fix things, and they won’t be afraid to make big calls.
What I like most about them is their long-term thinking. They’ll want to sort out the mess at all levels – the squad, the academy, everything. And with Bramley-Moore Dock nearly ready, we’ve got the potential to become a proper powerhouse again. We just need owners who actually get it, and Friedkin looks like they do.
So yeah, it’s not gonna be easy, but for the first time in ages, I feel like there’s a plan.
