I;ll have to back him wont I? We're in a relegation fight.

But that doesnt mean he wont get criticised - he made that inevitable (and not just from me) the moment he denigrated this club and its fans.
Never bothered you in the past my son.

God bless.

Repeatedly shared a view on here prior to TFG, of judging owners by actions rather than words.

Upon taking over, they said the same. Actions, rather than words.

I haven't got a clue about all the financial stuff, so the actions I can see;

Sacked a manager hours before a football match.
Hiring David Moyes.
Approaching 11th day of a transfer window in which we desperately need to recruit and no movement.

Things, can only get better.
Not only that but the wording in the statement sacking Dyche was very poor. We are better than that. They should have had the grace to thank him for keeping us up for previous two seasons.

Did you describe the 4-0 win against Wolves and draws against City, Arsenal and Chelsea as cowardly?
Dont think I used cowardly….

Fortunate
Missed opportunity
pragmatic
Workmanlike

With a bit more belief from the miracle worker we would have picked up even more points than the 6 we did.

I think I did describe several other results under Dyche as cowardly this and previous seasons however, so I am somewhat consistent. I will let you decide which ones…..there are loads to choose from so even you may get something right.

You should be over the moon we appear to be going for Moyes if the results you are clamouring about are your high points from the miracle worker…..Christ alive.

I did think yesterday's statement was very poor and they have to accept responsibility for it. It should have included a message of thanks and good wishes for the future. It's just basic decency and courtesy on what is a difficult and sad day in someones career. I'm also not sure how the bits relating to the discussions with him came into the media, but it's probably safe to assume that didn't come from Dyche.

As to the timing of the announcement, then it doesn't look great but there is some mitigation.

From what I read, there was a discussion with Dyche after Bournemouth. He told them he had taken things as far as he could, so it's briefed. So they decided to sack him and were trying to conclude an agreement on his exit package which clearly took some time.

The only alternative was letting him take the game last night and announce it afterwards. But I don't think that would have been in any way appropriate and he might have taken the same view.

Not a comment on Dyche or Moyes. Tho it was time to go. 11 goals in 18 games besides the Wolves game is frankly woeful. Regarding the owners. I was particularly annoyed that they didnt attend the first game of their tenure and none since. Hardly a way of endearing yourself to the fans. Another unwelcome action as was yesterdays unEverton like statement. Must do better chaps.

They're tough you see. They play 'hard ball'.

The classless shower of 💩.

Has Moyes hiring been confirmed then?
