Repeatedly shared a view on here prior to TFG, of judging owners by actions rather than words.

Upon taking over, they said the same. Actions, rather than words.

I haven't got a clue about all the financial stuff, so the actions I can see;

Sacked a manager hours before a football match.
Hiring David Moyes.
Approaching 11th day of a transfer window in which we desperately need to recruit and no movement.

Things, can only get better.

the athletic article suggests he pretty much resigned

Strange to say, but maybe it would help Everton in the long term to go down. Get a chance to reset the franchise while competing in a league where they are one of the best teams rather than one of the worst. Make over the roster while hopefully doing enough to earn immediate promotion. Look at clubs like Fulham...a yo-yo club for years and now they are solid. Much more common to do it that way than a club like Forest. Spent huge money when they came up to EPL only to narrowly avoid relegation for 2 years. This year they look good, but who knows if that is a flash in the pan?
Jesus. I really hope your not working at TFG headquarters in Texas if that's what your thinking.

P.S. We're not a F-ing franchise.

I did think yesterday's statement was very poor and they have to accept responsibility for it. It should have included a message of thanks and good wishes for the future. It's just basic decency and courtesy on what is a difficult and sad day in someones career. I'm also not sure how the bits relating to the discussions with him came into the media, but it's probably safe to assume that didn't come from Dyche.

As to the timing of the announcement, then it doesn't look great but there is some mitigation.

From what I read, there was a discussion with Dyche after Bournemouth. He told them he had taken things as far as he could, so it's briefed. So they decided to sack him and were trying to conclude an agreement on his exit package which clearly took some time.

The only alternative was letting him take the game last night and announce it afterwards. But I don't think that would have been in any way appropriate and he might have taken the same view.
Listening to the bobble last night, his version of events was slightly different. They weren't happy with Dyche's recent press conferences and had a meeting with him on Thursday. The result of that meeting was Dyche saying he'd taken things as far as he could & he didn't feel that he had had there backing. Then agreement between Dyche and TFG on forgoing some bonuses was reached and he was dismissed. Hadn't been dragging on for days, all happened on Thursday.
