But they still used there owners money when they were took over , Forrest got a deduction but still spent money or is that news to you aswell

If you remember Mike Ashley was their previous owner who ran Newcastle on a shoestring, he didn't like parting with his money, this meant Newcastle for the first few years could spend money and they did lots or it wisely. If you remember a bit further back Kenwright run us on a shoestring for years and when Moshiri arrived we spent lots of money for a few years...very unwisely and that is the difference really. I want us to buy players, but the right ones, when we can.

I'm not happy with our transfer window tbh. It's been poor, and I expected better. However, given the awful circumstances that the new owners were given on their arrival, I'm willing to give them a one-time pass during this window. I'll not be as generous during the summer and beyond, though. I expect more than this. The cost of going the match is extortionate in 2025, so I expect that to be reflected in the way the money is invested into the club on players and thr rising of standards ect.
We lose shedloads of money every year, it's not as if they're keeping the profits!

Does anyone else think that communication on what really matters (the team) is pretty poor?

It’s taken until the 31st January to admit that we effectively can’t spend any money in this window.

Nobody was expecting a January spending spree but the recent news is decidedly poor, threatening to overshadow the positive influence of Moyes with two good results in recent weeks.

At a time when fans are forking out significant increases in ticket prices for the first year in BMD, I think the club can do better on the communication side.

You could also argue that the press being largely useless compounds the issue - they never objectively challenge on transfers, injuries, youth players etc.

I’m clueless about the psr regs. What is the deal with psr during this window vs during the summer? Why do people talk like the summer will be different?
