Yeah, it was all down to Thelwell. The real truth is that Moyes didn't want the players lined up before he arrived and wanted to be seen as "good old Moyesie who does it on a shoe string".

Never trust Moyes. Never trust any owner.

That advice - should you take it - will serve you well.
Nar, that advice would just make me miserable.

Football is an escape, for me and many others, so if its ok with you I will block out the bad and enjoy the good that football offers.

Cos lets face it, modern football is a cesspit of greed, corruption, sports washing and an excerise in making stupid people spend vast sums of money on 22 over paid morons kick a bag of air around for 90minutes.

So for now im gonna trust in Moyes and im gonna trust our owners know what they are doing.

If they dont, oh well, we just get a new manager, new owners and start all over again.

Meanwhile you will spend the next few years getting angry about things you cant control.

If you care about that, then great stuff, I couldnt give a toss personally.

Don't need them doing Moshiri's post-match phone-in to Talksport every week, but a little "Howdy y'all, we're going to sign some players and not be crap, up the Toffees" would be nice

Though, I do see their corporate socials constantly promoting Everton so, half of one, dozen of the other

Interesting, they are doing a smaller loan than I thought they would try to do. Then if we assume a 6% interest rate, payments for the stadium would be 24m a year(well, assuming the term length). If it generates the 60-80m anticipated, each PSR season from here on is a positive 35-55m on the books. Of course it would be better if we just switch to that 85% spending rule, because then we get an extra 15m in spending room each season.

I believe this deal halves out current rate of interest which I believe was 5 mill + a month so bang on id say close to 30 mill per year now myself mate.

I thought the club were working on projected uptake in revenue at the new ground of £40 mill - granted that was before TFG.

Also wont be surprised if our interest payments now dont fall within our PSR calculations - i think Spurs dont as well when their ground was built and refinanced - I could be corrected on that though.

The Gaffer wanted 3 players.

YNWA only got 1, so out the door he goes.

Absolutely mad to not extend Thelwell.

Also, illogical to have Moyes in charge of player recruitment and sales.

Will be interesting to see how TFG proceed as they have the DOF model at Roma.

I think most take the view Thelwell did ok.

That decision is down to Moyes wanting a cone layer installed so he can use them as a patsy.
Is ‘ok’ really good enough?

Moyes talking about wanting to get us back to the top and you are happy with a DOF that does just ‘ok’.

The refinancing of the stadium was oversubscribed by 4 fold, such is the faith in these blue chip companies when it comes to Everton and TFG. Also we now have an 800million quid asset with a 350 million quid mortgage on it. Also we have just saved a million quid a week. Wums on this forum who do not in any way support Everton should simply be laughed at and ignored. This is an incredibly good deal, and a great day for Everton. Actual business is being done.

This might be the best thing you’ve ever posted

TFG is known to being very private. Listened to an Italian journo around the time they bought EFC and he said he's been trying to get an interview for years. There are also virtually no leaks from the club, think they announced Mourinho with a statement in the club's website.

But I do wonder, is davek clinically depressed or just someone who likes to come up with opinions he knows will rile people up?

The latter, he makes astute statements about the situation sometimes but mostly he’s just like a nail in the door that you continue to catch your coat on.

They are Someone who doesn’t support Everton who comes in here to wind people up. Not to be taken seriously in any way.
