Yanks are only interested in one thing - money

It’s us that they want to extract it from

Worrying that so many of them are involved in football at the moment
Yeah American investors are just focused on profit unlike the English billionaire sir rat at united as he cuts basic amenities for staff , I think you're going to find most owners regardless of their origin unless it's their hobby like abramovich when he was at Chelsea are unfortunately focused and on financially prospering when they own a club. If conducted properly it can be mutually beneficial for the club and the owners at the same time

Hi sporting achievement, crossover skills, marketing help, ability to reach new markets etc.
I don’t know if there’s that much to it to be honest. It’s maybe just as simple as it seems, him investing in the club rather than being an actual story. I doubt there’s much in the way of crossover or much he can pass on in terms of achievement - ‘hey guys, have you tried, you know, winning?’. I’m not American so maybe I’m wrong but I’m not sure he’s that big a name that he brings much interest. He’s certainly not the type of name that’s ever crossed the Atlantic in the way that the seriously big names do. It could genuinely just be that he wanted to invest in a sports team and the friedkins work out for him, i sort of hope there’s no more to it than that or it starts to get a bit hokey to be honest - I just can’t see how him giving motivational speeches is going to help a 62 year old old school manager out.

More than likely a name to up the profile of the group.
Havnt a. clue who he is myself but seems a big name in the USA.

Think you hit the nail on the head here mate.

He will have invested taken some shares in Roundhouse - how much and how much influence he I’d imagine is negligible, I’d suggest he’s a long term investor as opposed to having an operating interest in the club, unlike Sarofin who will oook to habpbe an influence in the club.

So what’s the play with Kid, for TFG it derisks part of their investment and exposure, prob give away some neglibke interest in Roundhouse and the advantage of Kidd is he has a personal that provides a commercial profile in attracting commercial deal and sponsores.

I know people are talking of a NBA franchise - be surprised myself.

I think his value to TFG will be a baby face and celebrity profile commercially.

I'll take over from Iggy as a Mavericks fan I guess.

Former player and current head coach of the Dallas Mavericks.

...

Yeah honestly got nothing more here, that's it. No idea what or why this is even happening - he's not even a good coach, a big name if anything, but nothing past that, and the Mavericks are trying to rival Kenwright in how poorly they're ran/running currently.
Yeah I'm actually really disappointed he's in any way involved with the club. He has a history of domestic abuse and drink driving, while being at best a mediocre coach.

I mean Kidd has money… but he’s certainly no billionaire. If he wanted to own his own club, I think even a League One team might be beyond his means.

Be interesting to see how much the ownership of Roundhouse Capital is diluted amongst minority investors, and what stake they end up having collectively.

It's prudent from TFGs viewpoint, particularly with the global economic outlook being so negative and uncertain.

A lot of change going on, so between Kinnear coming in and the rest of the board and new executives, we have to hope that it all comes together on the pitch. Sometimes with so much change, that can actually get lost.
