New Everton Stadium

What does everyone think about the yellow railings?

This rendering is the first and only place I think I've seen those. I wonder if that is still the plan, or if they'll be blue / white?

It gives the whole thing a big Park End vibe for me - but I don't think that's a bad thing.
That’s the first time I’ve noticed the riser? (If that the word for it) Wall between the south stands and the adjacent stands at the lower levels. Why couldn’t it be done with no step up wall?

I believe it’s related to future standing.

The theory being that in future people will stand below the riser, and sit above the riser, and to ensure no one standing gets in the way of those sitting, they need this riser to be there.

In that event, it should look relatively unbroken from pitch level.

I'm not sure that's correct at all.

I think it's quite evident when you think about it logically. That the south stand is a sharper rake than most of the rest of the stadium at least the lower section in comparison to the east and west lower sections. Which is why there is that kind of wall.

Reminds me of Stamford Bridge.

Ahh- think we are looking at a different part of that pic- I mean in the corners, between the lower south stand and the lower adjacent East / West stands. It means fans right up against this wall won’t get any view of the south stand becuase you will be below it with a wall next to you

Well, you might not be. But this is from the official site:

The home stand would be the South Stand and would consist of a single steep tier of seats, with a super-riser to factor in any future changes in legislation to accommodate safe standing.

I’m sorry, I don’t understand where you’re looking!

Well, you might not be. But this is from the official site:

It's not because of safe standing/rail seating. It's because the stand is steeper than the rest, marked by the lower rake on the east and west lower stands. Hence the walls.

As they say 'consist of a single steep tier of seats, with a super-riser to factor in any future changes in legislation to accommodate safe standing'. To factor in any future changes, (future proof).

If you want to disagree with the line from the club then that’s on you, bud. I’m not interested in arguing with you, take it up with them.
