New Everton Stadium Discussion

Absolutely no chance we would fill a 65k seater straight away. The ground will be a pull but only success will bring in large numbers of tourists, and extra fans.
West Ham are averaging over 62K during a season where they've been calling for the managers head. Granted that's London but it's hardly the most accessible of grounds for tourists in terms of being on the doorstep.

Tourists come to see the away side as well. Price it right and they could clear 60k several times a season. The waiting list is apparently very long and there's plenty put off the idea by the waiting list itself.

We have sold a kid for twice what West Ham pay to play in that bowl though.

Meh, maybe.

But for me the experience should always be central to any corporate/premium offering. It's what your paying a premium for - if you go to hospitality ahead of a gig, you pay more because it's the concert experience than you would in a restaurant in a city centre.

All of the images on the press release - you wouldn't know was Everton if you looked at them standalone.

I prefer Goodison's current hospitality lounges, compared to this;

Looks like they've googled Baltic Triangle, stuck some football on the TV then splashed some blue on it. Generic as anything.

Would be astonished if every square foot of potential coin isn't maxed out.

That's just it, they haven't.

Look at the south stand, there is ample room to make the concourse 2 levels. While the east stand south corner does not go as high as the west stand south corner. There could have been potential for a row of boxes on top as well on both the east and west stands. Instead it's just empty space.

Draught Ale (cask) once vented, conditioned and tapped available for service and on line will last 3 days. However in a ground selling thousands of pints that shouldn’t be an issue once they’ve trialled and understood the normal throughput. Lagers and ciders in Kegs, pressurised with gas can last for weeks depending on the cellar environment…..
That is consistent with what the steward of my local club says. 3 days.

Yes it does look like a lot of empty space above the south stand concourse and under the terrace above. Maybe the space is needed for plant / services etc. Would be great though if they could utilise some of the space as an open concourse in future. Or glaze it in.

I think they've all been sold already have they not?

Yep, mainly by companies who’ve been working on the stadium, they got first dibs.

Also told they’re up there with the best in the world.

Shame our oligarch lord won’t be able to pitch up like that Swedish billionaire did at the albert dock…. For now.

Also baffled how that massive boat got there? Don’t see an entrance big enough.
