New Everton Stadium

I know that usually rings true but he is one of the most in demand stadium architects, you've seen the videos of the Roma stadium, no where can you see great big warehouses right next door to it.

There will be a point where it damages his brand, a stadium on the waterfront enhances it. See what I mean? I'm sure he doesn't need the money just for the sake of it.

Get where you are coming from here.

"So, the brief is to reflect the maritime, industrial, and working class legacy of the City, and the history of the club, in an iconic combination then Mr Moshiri?"

"Yeah, but at a retail park by a motorway"

"Right oh. Bye"

Amazingly until as recently as the 19th century people believed that disease was spread by noxious smells of raw sewage or as they often referred to it 'miasmas'. It was eventually realised it was bad hygiene practices.
Even more amazingly some people in the 21st century still believe diseases are spread by the noxious smells of raw sewage. You have to applaud our education system!
The terrible stench of faeces is a protective thing...STAY AWAY. But the smell does not carry disease...touching and ingesting faeces will however transmit it. Airborne bacteria?...not a significance in faecal matters. Why the Council harbours safety concerns is a little perplexing. Perhaps they are more unhappy at the aesthetics rather than actual threat. They don't want visitors to go to a new development and return home saying the city stinks of pooh.
Either way, the sewerage plant looks to have put the kibosh on immediate riverside development.
Rather than rush off to SC though, I'd prefer we bide our time at GP... get a good lie of the land so to speak

With respect mate. You're not exactly selling Bramley Moore dock to me.......
Relax it'll be ok. We can sell handkerchieves tied up with fresh aromatic herbs and flowers in , to be held to the nose like 17th century fops, for those fans of delicate disposition. We could even brand them with the Everton crest. It'll be a big earner. After one season we may even buy that elusive playmaker with the profits.

Public Health concerns from the UU waste water treatment plant??? Really?? Would someone like to explain this bizarre conspiracy theory??

The treatment centre is there to process waste and return the water to the Merseyside to ensure the Merseyside is kept clean. Where is the Public Health concern there.

Unless someone is collecting faeces and going to spread it all over the seats and walkways then I think we're fine. The site does not constitute a Public Health incident, it does cause a pollution concern for UU in terms of smell but only fir the public living close by whose life is directly affected

eggyblueskin: "Theres a bit of a pong down there Peel. Our fans have a 50% chance of contracting cholera. Any chance of knocking a million off?"

That's exactly what I was thinking. I think if for any reason we can't build it on the docks then we'll be getting another architect. A point I'm pretty sure Meis will make to Moshiri after he takes a look at that DHL depot tomorrow.
